Okay, awesome that you were more successful this time! Disclaimer: I am great with people playing however they get the most enjoyment, but I'm just going to point out a few things. 1. The starting chips are supposed to be low because they're also your food. There's a bit of a ticking clock that prevents you from resting too much until you find some treasure. You managed without resting, so awesome! 2. The optional rule about combat is TECHNICALLY that you always do 1 damage specifically if the armor roll of the opponent reduces your damage to zero, not that you do 1 damage even if you miss. AGAIN, I absolutely don't mind auto-damage if it makes the playthrough feel better. 3. The default ammo is pistol; it doesn't provide a pistol if you roll it without a gun. 4. Zombies don't flee... maybe I should have put a "n/a" or something there instead of going for the cognitive dissonance route of having a result that can't be obtained. 5. Lessons Learned adds d6 Max HP, not a straight 6 Max HP. Auto-max bonus HP Seems like a reasonable house rule if you're really getting creamed often, though. 6. Technically the Eisenclave Fixer could have helped out in the combat against the Gas Hog Wasteoid; there's a bit about Strangers in combat at the end of the Strangers section. You didn't need the help, though. 7. You don't need me to point out that you didn't account for the meteor blade's -1 DR for one of your hits against the... zombie, I think? Just think of it as a +1 sword. 8. THANK YOU SO MUCH! I would love to hear any constructive criticism you might have. I do feel like the door system might be a lot of extra complexity, which is why I included another optional rule for only rolling doors after the encounter.

Thanks for the clarifications, Scott! Glad you enjoyed the playthroughs - it's a great little game - I'm excited for Wasteland Degenerates now! On the subject of healing with Chips - as you say, I didn't get round to resting, so never really fully wrapped my head around that. That said, I really like the concept of having the chips be duel-function - healing and currency. Adds another little consideration to the game. Regarding the 'auto-damage' roll. Yup - the way you've designed it makes more sense - damage just on a successful hit if all the damage would have been absorbed by armor. Great work on the game - hope these videos help give it a bit of visibility!

I'm cracking up at the first combat. "Enter the Dismal Armory..." but it's just a scientist with a piece of wood failing to enter and getting absolutely walloped. Really puts the dismal into perspective.

The zombies with morale 12 is a holdover from original D&D, where it was intended to indicate that they are mindless and never flee. That said, everybody should absolutely feel free to tweak things in whatever ways they like, and that goes double in solo play!

Yeah I totally get the logic of zombies not running away, but agree about being flexible with adjusting the rules - all about having fun, after all 🙂
