Some of the best music ever composed. I was hooked the day my brother forced me to stay awake to watch The Good The Bad and The Ugly when I was sick years old. I was a Johnny Cash fan at the time because he was my Granddad's favorite. Then came this haunting western themed genius score that plays in my head whenever I see the red rocks and landscapes of my home state, Utah. Enjoy captured something unexplainable. That's enough. Now I will just shut up and listen.

I often wonder the same. It´s actually a weird reason to believe in God. People say "how can you believe in God when you can´t see him?" Well... did anyone see this spring into being in Morricone´s head? Even if you measured his brain functions, all you´d find would be waves, impulses and various centres being fired up. And then.... out comes THIS. The relation between those brain impulses and THIS is just... words cannot describe it.

The movie is often sited as the best ever because it is the perfect storm of photography, storyline, acting, direction, editing and scoring as you hear in this clip. I have never seen all the elements come together in a movie like it does in this one, even the supporting cast almost steal the show!. I can't imagine there will ever be a time and place where an achievement like this will ever happen again.

It's so brilliantly composed, some parts of the soundtrack are meant to sound as if a mother was crying over the horrible childhood Tuco had. I "use" it whenever I want to release my grief over a university shooting (first one in my country, in seven hundred years!) where a colleague of mine was shot. It's such a sublime expression of sadness, like angels weeping.

I have goosebumps on top of goosebumps when watching and listening this video. Really Missing Ennio today so I ended up here. Such a HUGE inspiration and influence on us. Grande Gracias for ALL you gave the world with your musical soul. Our song ¡Pistolero! would not exist without Señor Morricone. How could anyone give this a "thumbs down"? WTF? this guy is a PURE sonic GENIUS. Rest in La Paz Hombre.
