    Ripping around riding with the local hoonigans. I’d be worried about the extra attention that would attract. That four stroke red scooter was quick off the line but you always had him at speed.

    I was waiting for the sirens, but it was fun. The orange one had solid steel struts instead of shocks. I have a feeling he's spent some time getting it to launch.

    Curious, whats your topspeed with that bike? I'm into scootertuning aswell. I was using a R/T 95cc with en Malossi Exhaust. It was struggling to go over 134km/h (83mph) Now the skirt has a crack, so it's time to upgrade to 2fast 100, if i can found one here in Sweden... Also i just started an another bikeproject where i was thinking to use the MHR 94cc cylinder... :)

    It can do 80-85 for sure. My smaller and much lighter friend that's in other vids has been over 90 on his RC-1 powered scoot.

    I have a question/ I hope it's ok to ask here since I see you comment. I have little 49cc Yamaha c3. I have polini variator, green clutch springs ( slightly stiffer than stock) and stock Torque spring. This little thing runs great. I happened by chance to check for wear, and noticed the Ramp Guides ( polini) had totally disentegrated ( prob 4000 miles on them since last checked). The ramp actually had grooved and wore into the variator. Anyhow I got a new variator and I am trying DR pulley guides this time around. Since installing, the scootter runs amazing but I have noticed that I do get a little belt slip now on accelleration. Top end is totally fine. Well. I know you had a video when doing upgrades and had some belt slip etc. Is that common or should I be able to track it down to get smooth acceleration again. Could it be Belt already getting stretched ( 4000 miles on OEM so pretty new) Can the Green Clutch Springs be causing more wear and tear than normal? Finally, have you noticed your Ramp Guides showing wear and having to replace? I honestly havent seen much info out there on Ramp Guides etc and durabililty. Great channel and Cheers.

    Some designs of variators or guides will fail. I'm not familiar with the C3 engines, but typically designs where the guides are not very large have the most trouble. Sometimes different guides, like the DrPulley will solve it. Otherwise, you may need to check more regularly to catch it before they're gone and chew up the variator. I would measure the belt width and check vs new and service limits first. As the belt wears thin it is more likely to slip. If you think it could be the clutch slipping, then take the bell off and have a look. If it's glazed then the clutch bell and pads should be deglazed and cleaned.

    hello question I just got another vento triton how do I check gear oil level idk if there's hardly any in there? and what gas should I use on my old one I always 87 but on manuel it says to use unleaded 90 or higher octane?

  • @49ccscoot

    @49ccscoot

    9 ай бұрын

    There is no gear oil level check. Just change it if in doubt. You can measure what comes out and see if it meets the fill spec to know if it was low. Stock is usually OK on 87 octane (R+M)/2. It won't hurt if you want to use midgrade or premium though.

    Another question is since due to my Vento has a peeble size hole in the stator magneto side I bought a another crankcase cover for magneto never done this job but I'm going to attempt Then I thought since I'm been wanting to make a 70cc build why not buy a High-End aftermarket crankshaft so when I decide later to buy head and piston in the future I don't have to reopen crankcase to swap crankshaft Thing is can I Run a High-End crankshaft with whole Scooter Stock?

  • @49ccscoot

    @49ccscoot

    As long as you get the standard stroke and not a stroker crank and the wrist pin size doesn't change, then it can use a different crank with an otherwise stock setup.

    @@sisano_2162 Sport stuff is OK with a stock crank generally. Most swap cranks beyond that. Opinions vary, but many like to use a different crank if they will be revving above 10-11k RPM.
