​@@IzzyHaye surely you must realise you've made fun of one of the people that have shared their story. We don't know the reason for why money was being released to him each day, it could be for a whole host of reasons... But having someone male fun of someone that's shared a special part of their life is not going to encourage him or others to do it again or for the first time... That's what the frown is for. Hopefully you knew this without me having to say it, because otherwise it shows a lack of social awareness and lack of compassion on your part.

As someone else mentioned, it’s good to have the background to look at, but without you moving around. I also find the walking too distracting

I prefer to travel alone to Thailand and have been there about 22 times, mostly to Pattaya, but also Bangkok and various parts of Issan. I have to agree with everything you said about badly behaved foreigners and the drugged up and insane people (not just reserved for foreigners and a few expats) I like to sit at open type bars during the day and people watch whilst having chats with anyone around. Have met some really good people but also the occasional 'Nut Job'. One thing I have noticed is that some of these people can only get away with behaving like they do in Thailand only as they would be sorted out back home, Thai's being more tolerant.

Hey Peter, westerner here. I had a rat run along an exposed pipe in a restaurant in the Philippines. I jumped up and yelled “it’s a rat”. The staff looked at me like I just had a seizure and they went back to work. It’s a natural thing I guess.

I had a gambling problem hence why my mum sent me my daily allowance ok 🙂 all my money goes in my mums bank for that reason. 😌

I understand you are allergic to latex, I just wanted to inform you that there are condoms made with no latex, usually they are made of polyurethane. Just ask at a pharmacy it’s very common. Then using protection or not is your decision but be aware that a product for allergic people does exist. Hope this helps.

Mix of true and false. Thai women are pretty sensible when it comes to protection. No way could you find 20 girls willing to go without unless they were the oldee slappers hanging on Sukhumvit Road. Was he with his mother? Otherwise she would have to remit a certain amount every day. I guess those cheap online remittance services so within the bounds of possibility. I get the vibes the guy is autistic 🤔

Great stories as usual Peter. Question. On the last story, isn't it customary to hold the girl's ID until the customer gives the okay to return it? Looks like that didn't happen otherwise the front desk would had been in possession of the ID and confirmed it with the police and maybe none of this would happen. Have you heard of any stories of fake IDs that fool the customer and hotel staff but not the police? I would hate for that to happen..

Thailand has strict rules about fake IDs. 6 months to 10 yrs in prison. Even ladyboys do not fake IDs usually. So I have hotel staff ask if the ID says “Ms” or “Mr”. One ladyboy got by the hotel front desk - they had rubbed out the “Mr” part and person in hotel only looked at photo not their title. Fortunately I could tell the person was a ladyboy. Nothing against them but the person lied and altered their ID card.

hi Peter I just wanted to ask you a question as it's never been. appetized is it okay to buy lottery tickets the ones I’m on about is the street lottery on the boards and if I won the jackpot would I be able to claim as I noticed lot of foreign people buy the tickets? Just checking to see if it’s on waste of time as I think we would not be paid out, could you explain yourself to me?

I ordered some takeaway Thai food from am outdoor restaurant near Nana... While I was waiting for it to be cooked, I saw a rat about the size of a cat... It made me so disgusted that I knew I wasn't going to eat the food...but couldn't just do a runner without paying for it with my gf there also... So I paid for it... Then got a taxi back to the hotel... I ended up giving it to some local Thai guy sitting outside Family Mart... I thought he was homeless, and then by the time I came out of the supermarket, he was eating this feast with a couple of other taxi drivers... I felt like it was a good deed, but I wasn't going to eat it after seeing a rat 🐀 running around the dishes..

Ph is pronounced as the letter "f" NOT POO or PUHOO (KET). I don't know why it is POMS want to mispronounce this name. Is it because you want to make fun of Thai nationals ?? As I have already pointed out the original name was spelt with a capital letter "F" uket. Maps in WW2 used this spelling Fuket pronounced Fooket. Wags on R and R according to a radio operator in the RAAF told me they pronounced this name as "Fuk-et". I have taken my subscription off due to you persistent mis pronunciation of this name. Good bye !!
