Problem is not with only lectures but also with syllabus framed, government rules and parents attitude. Everyone should think of their roles.

If u are technically strong, then there is always a scope. Quality output is not coming due to giving license to open more college. Many colleges are belong to politicians and they giving seat to below average students and management involve in fraudulent activities during examination to make pass the below average student's. From these students don't expect quality output finally they are in the field which is no where concerned to their studies. I hope amar sir u r speaking about engineering job by keeping those type of students in ur mind.

I'm also mechanical engineering student, I'm really proud But the thing is in college they don't teach what is real world problem, & still implementing 90s era useless lab & theory it must change then only skilled engineers come out

As a Structural Engineer from NYC these are my comments. There is a real disconnect between the education system and industries in India. The way to overcome is to get/give real-time projects and make students work on them. This enhances professionalism and skill development. Inturn, the professor, student and college can also make money while participating in the project. When I was studying at University of Cincinnati, I was working on a project that was funded by AISC. This was as a part of my master's thesis. In India this doesn't even happen at IIT level. I have seen some IIT professors working on real-time projects but the problem is they are not obligated to do that. Its like a Govt. job(even at private colleges), your are not required to prove yourself after you get your job. Most professors are non-competent or not skilled enough to write proposals and get real-time projects even when they have required human resources. So, there is no organic growth happening. And no law can force any growth. The only solution for this problem will be to make engineering colleges and professors more accountable.

I did Engineering. But didn't get job in IT companies. Finally joined non it company for IT maintenance and support work..Now doing graphic designing work for the company!! Also for future learning web development. The syllabus is completely changed. Many things we learned day and night in colleges are outdated and replaced with newer technologies.!! So again struggling day and night learning multiple courses for survival.!! But companies want only experienced candidates. Many recruiters dont even know when the technology came in market..Also the groupism is there inside industry. Candidates are underpaid. We spend lakhs but get only 10-15k job. If we question people say, money is not important. But we can't live without money. Also companies expect 8-10 skills in one candidate. As a result quality projects are decreasing.

Learning mechanical engineering is good but job is equal to labour job in industries you will not get respect & learning is Pathetic everyone treated like beggar by providing meals in manufacturing industries earning are not good what you except today's cost Maruti Suzuki,Hero honda few companies will provide good environment in workshop you will learn something from these companies. 80 percent people Switch their mechanical job to other sectors 😂😂😂

We can not judge a person whether he/she is good in Maths,Physics,Engineering by the marks he/she gets. By that logic, nobody as a student in India hasn't got practical exposure in physics. We all have by-hearted subjects. And the one who memorizes and vomits in exams and gets good marks is considered as topper even though he doesn't know what exactly it is the very next day of the exam😅

Company and industries... looking towards increase productivity they looking new technology, Automation and robotics to reduce Manpower (Example: Automation establish one line it's almost eliminate (before 20 employees... after it's reduced to 6 employees) because they don't required high skill employees. We countries have less manpower they introduced Automation and robotics example Japan, they have less manpower they invented some technology improvement... and it's reduced production cost... as per your nation we have to much resources... present company and organisation they intrested on automation and robotics because they no need investment on manpower .... it's facts ( Presently compared to automotive industries Aerospace industry required more engineers because of its batch production) ... i am interview some out come of college freshers... as u mentioned... so much skill set issue and less confidence level ... I found and over period it's resolved.... But Engineering never come down (collage need to take care ... good teaching skill and change and add the subject as per present world requirements)

Its becuase of private engineering colleges made the quality worse by unnecessary work load to faculties

Now engineering college is more, so average students are also getting the seats so these will be not fitting to job after complete

One of my senior colleagues said he is staying in Marathalli he is a Telugu guy he said. Without kannada we can serve in Bengaluru. Everyone speaks Telugu he said. When he tries to speak little kannada local people will communicate with him in Telugu only he said. At that time i felt like a hell/shame what our people have done to our Beautiful city Bengaluru 😢. Because of kind heartedness only people are taking advantage😢. Bengluru is completely gone out of Kannadigas Hand.
