A great thing I find about watching these is the variety of opponents. Players online, I find, are as diverse as the generals of the time were. This player for example is very timid and indecisive, in how he probed with cavalry then formed defensive formations when he met resistance, rather than commit. His indecisiveness wasn't helped by prince surrounding him. Reading that weakness ws integral to this victory!! Well done!!

Cool Battle prince! on my battles i been trying to get 3 or 4 dragoons and keep them as a reserve, if i need firepower ill just dismount them ,very flexible unit.good luck

well done with the encirclement, although i must say u should have brought the janissaries, they look cool and i use them like the french old guard, unleashing them at the brink of victory or defeat to change the tide of the battle

glad you enjoyed - but unfortunately, the maps here make defense a lot more stronger than offense.

In late period, you don't have to worry about that. But if you fix bayonets in Early Period, you can't shoot anymore.

As long as it's just you using the game, you can play it anywhere if you have Steam installed on that PC (and if that comp can run it).

The problem with Steam is that if they go down, so does your game. In order to play the game offline, you have to go online first, and select the option to play offline (which would be hard to do if you don't have an internet connection or if Steam goes down). Also, it's happened frequently these past few days where Steam would just decide to kick me off. Guess what happens: the game stops working with no warning. Gamespy never kicked me off if I was just watching a replay or whatnot.

Well, there are no "bonuses" for going from the Early to Late Period. Everyone, however, becomes more advanced in the Late Period. But you can't call that a bonus because everyone gets that "bonus" if you can call it that.

You're talking about the 15th century. This game takes place in the 18th, so Bombards and Janissaries were quite outdated at that point; I think at this point, Janissaries were more of a social order than the foot soldiers they had been in previous centuries.

You can tell by the units what period it is, and you can tell by the size of the armies what the funds are. It's only too damn obvious, and I can't be asked to make everything black and white.

I think that the austrians are actually the coolest faction to play the campain with. you can easily take out the Italian and poland-lituanian factions and than further expend your empire. This game i would recommend to all gamers! Greetz
