I was so shocked when Emily Middleman did not win the Finale of this season. However, i am sure her #2 position was all she needed to become a blessed star in her World.

A timeless song with great lyrics can be reinterpreted many times

It's the way she barely voices some of the words (especially as the words trail off) but she doesn't need to because the reverb does the rest - almost like a whisper and a chorus at the same time. Very unique and clever production.

I love it. It isn't always about the power of the voice. Sometimes it is about the skill of knowing when to use it. She clearly has it down.

I was quite honestly looking for a little more “ power “ , but it’s still very good . Ethereal, haunting and the gentle quality of her voice is stunning.

I was a singer in a rockband when I was in college, and people told me I sung just fine and that they liked my voice. Now, I don't pretend to be the best singer in the world and maybe every person I met lied and actually thought I was a bad singer? But that would be much worse, I'd rather have them say "Dude you suck at singing, you shouldn't be a frontman" But no one did so I think I was a mediocre singer ( Not good enough to make it a career ) But even if people told me I sucked at singing, I'd be like "Oh man, I should probably stop then" I don't know about you, but do you realize how many people out there who can actually sing fairly well? I'd actually say that around 60-70 % of all grown up people AROUND THE WORLD can sing decently. It's not something only a minority can do.

I have never heard this song sang so beautifully in all my life by anybody.

Its a shame she's off the competition a step before the finals, but I'm so proud as a fan that she stuck to her style til the end despite Louis and Nicole's comments trying to turn her into either some pop jumpy teen or another high-note-hitting powerhouse. Especially Louis. Everyone has their own thing so stop trying to get her to dance! If so, he should get Honey G to start belting notes first yeeesh. ANYWAY! Beautiful performances from Emily til the end and looking forward to more from her in the future :)

Absolutely incredible! Fell in love with her remake of this song. Beautifully done Emily! Please please please give this girl some hot tea and honey immediately..the dry ice effects ripped up her throat and could possibly take awhile to heal if not taken care of now! Please..this is a message from personal experience.. the damage dry ice effects can do on vocal chords is painful and can be long lasting.
