Emergency Medical Teams in Gaza: Saving lives and preserving health

With so many hospitals and health clinics damaged or destroyed in Gaza, WHO is supporting what remains of the health system by deploying emergency medical teams (EMT) from around the world to supplement the work of local health workers. The EMT initiative has been active in Gaza since November 2023.
