thank you so much for doing this rory! i truly appreciate it i hope when you have a min you'll be able to read this.. in elvis' life 1954-57 1969-77 he performed 1,684 sold out shows 767 shows in vegas 917 during his domestic tours and starred in 31 movies during this same time 1976 was a huge yr for him it was our country's bicentennial he played 122 shows in 74 cities during that time in 76 he would also return to graceland to record the tracks for the last album we'd ever get from him rca packed a studio into a truck drove it cross country to graceland and set it up in his den (now the jungle room) to record it then in dec 76 he would head back out on the road for his legendary "in five days" tour five shows in five days in five cities ending in pittsburgh on new yrs eve 8 days before his 42nd bday 8 mos before his death elvis stepped onto the stage in pittsburgh and celebrated the last new yrs eve he'd ever see with his loving fans during this show he slipped into 1977 full hope and promise for the coming year..hard to believe we'd lose him a short 8mos later this is probably his last truly great performance those scarfs he gives away started because he loved his fans and knew how important it was to them to have a lil piece of him and are to this day cherised and highly sought after you mentioned him trying to trip up his band.. absolutely! he constantly tried them and they would do the same to him because of their absolutely grueling tour schedule it was important for them to challenge elvis and he them the most important thing to elvis was having fun he closed every show with "can't help falling in love" his love letter to his fans his fans undying love for him decades later is because he was always always humble genuine kind fun and gave them what they wanted he truly understood without them elvis presley wouldn't exist he often said he felt like the luckiest and most blessed person on the planet that his love and devotion to every one of his fans was his way of paying for that privilege he always considered it a privilege to be so blessed people can talk about the beatles and the stones...but no artist will ever have the pure and loving connection elvis had and still has with his fans the stage was his home and his fans were his family "he was a light for all of us we should dwell in what was so beautiful and everlasting" ~ tom petty thanks again rory ♡

@@Roryreacts my pleasure:) i can say with confidence you are the first and only person on yt to react to this! most all reactors aren't interested in his late 70s stuff with the exception of that terrible cbs special in 77 that was professionally filmed...its a crime that CBS network didn't film this show instead! but its such hard footage to watch only 8 weeks before he passed even though he still gave an amazing performance despite being so incredibly ill at that time.

Beautiful words ..you are absolutely spot on..he loved his fans..didn’t care about the money to be made..Infact always kept his concert tickets very low so every fan could afford it. Who does that amongst all the other stars .

He loved us and to have the memories of kisses, conversations, scarves, etc. from his shows is so precious and beloved. The most talented, incomparable, beautiful man ever. The most humble, generous, sweet person ever. Thank you, thank you!!❤❤❤❤

This is my favorite of all 3 parts. What i find unbelievable is how great his voice sounded, how "alive" he was in his performance, even the way he easily got up from the stage floor -- almost like 10 yrs. had been taken off of his life, not that it was going to end shortly.

Great reaction and to think he left this earth just over 7 months later. There weren't too many amateur filmed performances of him where the whole song was in fairly good quality e.g. Polk Salad, Big Boss Man and Trying To Get To You at this concert.

Greatest entertainer ever was. This man could sing standing on his head. But most if all his fans loved him for his kindness and caring for people. He have probably 80% of his wealth away. I am a fan because I would read of his giving to others. I thought I would check into it. Elvis never told anyone of the things he did for others. He visited the jail in Memphis on Christmas Eve and talked to every prisoner in his cell and found out if they were married and how many chidren they had. Went to each house and took a tree and presents and kept up with their needs until the man was released from jail. He gave to charities and built buildings for churches. He wrote checks to fans standing outside his gate every Christmas Eve if they convinced him they were in need of an operation or money to buy their kids presents. Whatever their need was and he stayed out there until he had written a total of $100,000 in checks. He gave cars, houses, jewelry. He was a very caring and humble man. R.I.P Elvis you are still so missed. Loved your take on this video. I had never seen it and loved it also.

This concert was so wonderful! Thank you for reacting to it. I have loved Elvis since I was a child. his voice was so unique and beautiful. What he could do with his voice, as an instrument, was truly phenomenal. His control and ability to adapt it to any genre of music, and then to actually mix those genres within one song is why I think of him as the king of music. This concert brought back memories for me-I saw Elvis perform live only 3 months prior to this in Lakeland, Florida. I can’t explain the energy that is in the crowd at an Elvis concert-it is like no other. It was a mixture of excitement, adulation, eagerness, joy, wonder, enthusiasm, enjoyment….love for him. When he walked out on stage there is this big release-people crying all over the place. When he walked our way, I was almost crushed by the crowd as they collectively rushed the stage. His voice and his presence combined was so powerful. It always makes me think that God made him an example of what it will be like when Jesus returns. Elvis once said that charisma is “Christ in you”. Elvis could be no “accident”, his abilities seemed supernatural and, like a beautiful sunset, his beauty points us to our glorious creator and we say praise you for the gift of music through this unique person. And praise you more for the gift of eternal life in Your beautiful Son, Jesus, who will come back for us in glory that even exceeds Elvis. Wow!

He had a catalog of songs that was over 700 songs( closer to 800). That’s probably why there are songs people didn’t know he sang. There’s even some requests from the audience but not all. His friends said he was like a lark. He’d be walking around the house just always singing. Quite a few people have stated they never knew of anyone who loved music so much. I just wish he didn’t have such a grueling schedule. On the day he died, he was supposed to be heading to a concert in Maine. They had to stop the plane with his band on it to tell them not to continue to Maine. They were so confused until they told them he had died. Many of those people he introduces were with him for the 8 years of live concerts. Imagine their shock when they heard. I remember my shock and it seemed like the day the world stood still. It was all so big, people can’t imagine how hard it hit people. What a shame. 😢💔🌹🌹

if it wasn't for the fans sneaking in 8mm cameras, a few tv appearances, a few news crews (in the 50s) we'd only have about **maybe** 8-10 hrs of footage of elvis performing on stage news clips from the 50s tv show appearances from the 50s dorsey bros, ed sullivan, steve allen and milton berel timex / frank sinatras welcome home elvis tv special in 1960 when he returned from the army the 68 tv special that's the way it is (movie covering his 1970 vegas engagement) elvis on tour ( movie covering his 1972 domestic tour) cbs tv special in 1977 thats it..8-10 hrs of footage from a man who performed on stage nearly 1,700 times we owe a whole lot to those fans who risked sneaking in those cameras and recorders without them we'd be left with so little from a man who gave everything till the day he died

@@terrywright8731 yep this was his last truly great show! we all love ttwii and elvis on tour but this show has my whole heart and is a very favorite! we all know when he was having a great night..like during this show and when he was in great spirits..like during this show anything could happen and we get these gems like rags to riches or where no one stands alone or your the reason ect unfortunately we'll never know for sure why and that's fine he did do love letters during his 76 tour and then again during the cbs special in 77 here are the shows i know he did it live but this was definitely the best version on new yrs i can't lie though and as hard as it is to watch.. his version of love letters in the cbs special is completely beautiful he did it live in st petersburg feb 14th 1976 chicago oct 15th 1976 birmingham dec 29th 1976 and the cbs special, that performance would've been from either rapid city or omaha in 77 those are the ones i know offhand in case you'd like to look them up to hear :) it is one of my all time favorite songs ♡

Everything you just watched is from collector sources collaborating for an unofficial release, ie black market because EPE has never really wanted to give supporters, fans etc what they keep asking for. Anyways I wasn't even alive to see him, but every person I have spoken to said the atmosphere was 'not of this world.'. I've seen footage from nearly every one of his concerts and it is a fact, no 2 concerts were the same....kinda scary when you think about that. He did over 1100 from '69 - '77. PEACE!

Glad you mentioned no 2 concerts were the same -- i've been saying that to a lot of people because it's only when you start viewing the various performances do you realize that he never repeated himself, & there lies the little problem w-young people (or ANY person for that matter) who barely knows anything about him -- when a song is recommended to a new Elvis reactor they really have not much to go on if no good link is provided or if they were not given a good version -- case in point: quite a lot of reactors will have nothing but a yellow box w-Elvis' name across it for a song such as Burning Love which in some cases also has bad audio; it isn't the reactor's fault yet people will say you should watch the live version, but they don't provide a link. Forget the fact that there are over 700 songs (or whatever the correct # is) to his repertoire -- there are also the various versions of each song to account for. Thanks much.
