One of my favorite soundtracks.

I love this album...very young.....saw the movie and bought the album....played it till the static was so bad....still played it anyway!!! I remember dancing all around the house....good memories! Thank you for this!

Scotty my man. Great video, really funny at the beginning, made me laugh. I've always been a fan of Roustabout, and agree with you, it had a great soundtrack. It always reminds me of the story where Elvis requests for the Jordanaires to accompany him on the "wheels on my heels" track. The director says " Elvis, you don't understand, you're riding down the highway on a motorcycle, where would the voices come from ? Elvis quickly responds, " the same damn place the band is !!" As ever, really appreciate your effort you put in to these reviews. Well done mate 👍👍

Yes I love that quote..Gary there are tons of videos of various expletives..the best video I shot today.. the camera took half my head off..this was directly after that and I was pretty hacked off..lol..thanks buddy😉

Hi Scotty, although you´re right that no commercial single was released to promote the movie Roustabout. Just in case you´re not aware, there was at least a radio promo single released with the songs Roustabout/One Track Heart SP-45-139, which is pretty rare. Thanks for the great video!.😎

Dear Scott as always your videos show how competent and polite you are. Roustabout was one of the first movies I saw on TV as a kid. In Italy the title was "Il cantante del luna park". A still pleasing storyline with a few pleasant and funny moments, I was very impressed by the scenery of Big love, big heartache. I hope to see soon another of your videos

roustabout was a great film Elvis was great in that film a tough kid with a chip on his shoulder which he was always great at playing jailhouse rock King Creole and few others the whole cast in the film was great roustabout had a very good soundtrack wheels on my heels hard knocks big love big heartache and Little Egypt fantastic songs from a great movie well acted roustabout definitely a classic

One of the strange things about this album is that there was Not a single release from it. Boy, the people at RCA were a bunch of dunderheads! Had at least 3 songs that could have been big hits. 1. There’s A Brand New Day On The Horizon. 2. Little Egypt. 3. Wheels On My Heels! A number one album with no single release!

And even on Aloha, RCA missed a golden opportunity for 2 smash hits, What Now My Love and You Gave Me A Mountain! Would have been a sided hit! But, dunderheads ruled RCA! LOL

it was a number one record in the UK i believe

Charlie E Daniels co wrote It Hurts me, sadly he passed away just last month. A legend in his own right. Important to remember in '65 this was a number one album on billboard... At the height of beatlemania ! It's a strange mix of songs that work. Nice review.

Yes it does say in the picture of the songs that Joy Wrote for Elvis that she gives credit to Daniels for writing most of it but she is credited as cowriter..she wrote some great songs anyway😉

One of my favourite Elvis movies too probably from my dad recording it off the tv onto vhs tape in the early 80s and watching it over and over. I also recorded the songs by putting cassette recorder next to tv speakers. I am a new subscriber working my way through your videos, Keep up the good work Scotty.

As far as I know, most of the alternate takes for This and the Kissin Cousins sessions have long been missing, presumed lost, that's why they were the last film soundtrack albums to be FTD'd!
