Yeah....there’s definitely no way he could have continued much longer in that state. His voice never gave up on him but unfortunately his pressure, drug abuse and a twisted bowl he should have tested. And he had hypertension....worn himself out. He battled with bad depression. Locked himself in his room for months without even showing his face. He was very lonely and he knew he didn’t have long to live. He wasn’t stupid. Drug addiction happens to the best. He was loving, kind and generous. He will be missed. R.I.P.

Elvis was sick plus Tom Parker over worked him nver gave him a chance to recuperate....he had bills to pay .he put the people around him first ....he needed to take a sabbatical from everyone n get his health n prescription drug use under control ...he needed to come back aftr a long break hot n sexy like in 1968.......with that beong said we cant question Gods timing our life n death only he knows.....sending energy of love to ELVIS in heaven...love you sweetheart n yes you did it your way ....you came you saw .you conquered .....love you

You cannot force a person to change their ways. Elvis was a tremendous entertainer, but he was totally out of control the last four years of his life, and he died because of it. After his "Aloha From Hawaii" trumph, he let himself go physically. That he was thinking about getting married again also proved that he was going mentally as well. I loved Elvis, but from what we have learned about him over the years, he cheated on EVERY woman he was involved with----even his wife.
