I don't know if was 8 or not but I remember my grandma always loved listening to Elvis . I remember she used to joke around and tell me that Elvis was my grandfather😂😂.I do really miss her and not a day goes by were I don't think of her and miss her voice.

I started crying like mad. My Dad was not expressive but, his actions showed how much he loved my Mom. He died, I am still here and I am the reminder of his love.

In the last few years of his life, he had put on weight and struggled with drugs, divorce etc… but he never lost his singing ability, in fact it may have got better! Listening to him singing some of the songs can still bring tears to my eyes. He was, is and always will be the best ever and the standard that every other singer strives to be compared. He was truly “The King” and always will be!

I just watched the movie on HBO. Indeed he captured people's hearts like no other in the history of music. A unique charisma that I don't think another will have. Too bad you got carried away by your manager's influence and the wrong decisions of your parents.

My son was born in 2013. He loves Elvis!! His legacy will live on forver!

I miss him deeply, Not a day goes by I don’t think of him. I feel your pain & loss. I can’t say it gets easier, but it does become less of a shock as they physically leave us, bc, they never spiritually leave us. Priscilla is the most beautiful name. I was named Priscilla, as well, with my wrist band on, paperwork confirmed. However my brother had a different plan & he got his way. Unfortunately, I was only Priscilla for 2 days. True Story. ❣️Much Love to your & your family during this most difficult time. Your Dad is up there singing with The King, now. ❣️❣️♥️

To me, Elvis Presley is like Van Gogh, when I listened to this as a child I never thought very much of the singing, but now slightly older I can now 'feel' the music in a way words can't explain, just like the way I feel the paintings, timeless classics.

I’m the same, at 50 I never really listened to Elvis and thought it a little cheesy, I see now, what a wonderful, inspirational, brilliant performer he was. My wife and I watched the Baz Elvis movie, and it totally changed the way we think of him now.

Here at the end of February 2024. I listen to Elvis all the time on radio. When I heard this song I had to come watch. I’ve never seen this beautiful video. Always my favorite ❤️

The words are so relevant on so many levels - where one regrets the loss of a loved one, an absent father, parents who lost their child following an argument. These words will live forever. ❤❤

My mom was the biggest Elvis fan I’ve ever known. I grew up with his movies and music. Back then I didn’t appreciate him the way I do now. I always liked him, but now that she has passed I guess his music hits different. Especially his 60s and 70s music. I always loved his 50s music and some of his movies. Now I can appreciate all his music and his legacy.

I was born in 94 and I LOVE Elvis, his music is truly like gold I don’t know how to explain it but it brings nostalgia as if I lived during this era. I honestly believe Priscila lived her best & worst moments next to Elvis and she truly lived a soap opera in real life but one thing is for sure she will never forget him and he was the love of her life.

I totally agree even though she had a long relationship for 25 yrs, and a Son..called Navarrone Garibaldi....she has never re- married....if Elvis had lived I don't think he would have remarried either....Elvis and Priscilla couldn't live together and couldn't live apart, it's so sad..if he had met her when she was older say 24....it may well have lasted. There is a saying .." What is for you, won't pass you."....they will be together one day in Eternity. ❤️❤️

@@Irene-qe5hu Elvis was mostly interested in very young women/teens because of, believe it or not, his shyness and low self-esteem, he felt intimidated by older woman and of his age. He was a gentlemen but also a bit of a womanizer.. (being he could get any girl he wanted..) & in being old fashioned (in those days) it was preferred to choose a young lady so you could mold her into what you wanted her to be, of which Elvis was infatuated in doing so with Priscilla. He also held a commitment to Priscilla's father by promising to marry her when she was of legal age. Before marrying her he had a serious affair with Ann Margret of which he decided to break off because of said commitment. Ann looked very similar to Priscilla and its very possible they would have stayed together if Priscilla wasn't in the picture.. but it still wouldn't have lasted due to Ann's fame and EP's need to be a soul provider to his women. I truly believe he did love Priscilla but his fame, controlling manager and declining health (starting with the loss of his mother) prevented him from a normal life of marriage. The irony to it all being how close and dedicated he was to his mother and religion.. his story really saddens me after learning so much.. I feel his talents (all though beyond exceptional) could have been much much more if he wasn't so naïve to the control his manager had over his career decisions. I wish he was still here and I never thought Id ever fall down this rabbit hole of Elvis research.. ahh!! (ps. I'm a 91 baby & WISHHH i was born back then, the nostalgia, the simplicity but hardship and realness)
