In this video I compare 10 live versions done by Elvis Presley of the song Bridge Over Troubled Water, which originally was recorded by Simon & Garfunkel in 1969. The different versions are all from live concerts between 1970 and 1977. Personally I think Elvis makes the best cover of the song, as he fills the song with emotion and pure passion. In the first couple of versions Elvis is clearly in good shape and sings the song with a lot of emotion. The later versions perhaps lacks the intimacy and rawness of the earlier version (1970 and 1972) but in the final performance is powerful and sung with a lot of passion, and we can really hear it comes from deep inside his heart.

All very good versions... My personal favorite is the one he did in June 1975.. That was really powerful.
Love it, September 1, 1974 was best version in my mind, the notes he hits are out of this world.
