Heard Larry speak many times and have read his book on Elvis. One thing I can say is his story is always positive always speaks highly of Elvis, another thing is he never changes his story. True friends keep the secrets that should never be told and speak good of their friends as Larry speaks of Elvis.

It is of little surprise that such a beautiful, gentle, kind, honest, wise and compassionate man ended up as Elvis's best friend right til the end. I really enjoyed listening to Larry recalling his memories with Elvis and I believe he genuinely loved and cared for Elvis. Being a spiritual seeker myself I can fully relate to the need to read spiritual books and speak to like minded people with whom we resonate and who understand spirituality, it's like food for the soul. For me spirituality goes deeper that religion. I was brought up in the roman catholic church and was basically taught how to fear God and a lot of the teachings just didn't make sense. Spirituality teaches we are all one and God loves everyone equally and unconditionally.

Now with this new Elvis movie coming out on Friday which I've already purchased my ticket for Friday June 24th a theater near my home yep yep yep I just want to say that whenever I hear Larry Geller you have a voice that seems very healing to me and and so I believe Elvis heard that genuine sincerity in your voice also besides knowing a little bit about the fact that you were in tune spiritually at the time and you shared with him and I thank you for that and to this day out of all the people who speak on KZread about Elvis I continue to go back some kind of gravitational Wii U the way I believe Elvis probably felt about you which I believe is he overall picture of how we are interconnected when we are in spiritual tune with God and one another if so know that I appreciate that you made this video and continue to be blessed by our God.

I think it is why some of those guys didn’t like Mr. Geller. He was no professional groupie. He was an accomplished and very successful man in his own right well before Elvis. I think there was a certain respect between he and EP for that reason. The rest of the MM had only Elvis for a paycheck. Larry was well-off and was not dependent on EP financially. Gotta a lot of time for Larry - he wrote the best book I've ever read on Elvis he had real insight into his human and spiritual side. He was probably too smart to fit in with the memphis mafia and the Colonel and other people surrounding Elvis and they didn't get his interest in the higher things..the meaning of life and what it's all about.

  • @dessy844

I agree, Larry and Charlie Hodge put a lot of respect when they shared stories on Elvis ... the Memphis Mafia was not as spiritual nor as religious as Elvis was.. so they did not understand this quest until later on, ... and do you know some Elvis fans hates Larry too? A man they hardly know? Only from hearsay.. I once had a quite of a debate with one of so called biggest fan of Elvis who hated Larry.. she glorifying certain names but called Larry a weirdo.. I was offended, because who are we? judging a man we don't know. Elvis is not stupid..he knew people he chose to be in his life.. and this spiritual quest of Elvis is no surprise to me.. he grew up went to church and that's when he learned to sing, he sang gospel at his suite in Las Vegas ( the sin city) after his shows was over, his spirit is attuned with the Lord.. Larry simply stretched that spirituality even further , something that spark Elvis curiosity.. and probably what made Elvis even wiser.. Larry was one of the last person Elvis called on the phone and the last book Elvis read as he died was a book Larry given to . Larry was there to the last moment of Elvis's life when he did Elvis hair for the last time for the funeral.

So much unnecessary negativity fills this comment section below. Larry Gellar is clearly speaking from his heart when he reminisces about his private moments with The King. He wasn't trying to steer Elvis into any one specific direction but rather expose him to all the varied beacons of light in the world so that Elvis could safely make his own way through the haze that his life had become. To think that Larry was the last person to ever talk to Elvis the night before he passed away as well as the last person to ever touch him at the closing of Elvis' casket is amazing in itself. I can tell that Mr. Gellar is a sincere, spiritual person who no doubt helped Elvis to become the best version of himself . Larry was truly touched by an angel that first day he ever meant Elvis as young boy. May the King rest in peace for all of time and eternity. Thank you so much Larry for sharing over 90 minutes of your anecdotal experiences from your days with Elvis. Your stories truly touched me. You had me crying and laughing at the same time. Than You, Thank You, Thank You. And don't listen to these haters below. Like Elvis said, "the cream always floats to the top." MD

Wow, I can relate to Elvis so much. A truth seeker myself, learning this now is just amazing. 29 minutes into this video, when Elvis asked why he hasn’t experienced the divine light, I would’ve told him, “you already do shine”. He’s always had that divine light shining out of him. He just didn’t know it. Sometimes it seems as soon as we find out that we do shine, our ego uses it in ways that diminish it. Letting go of the egos lies and just allowing the light to shine is part of the journey. Although I am devastated that Elvis left us so soon, I am so grateful for the story that Larry shared with us. We will each take from it what we need, to let go of whatever holds us in the darkness. 🙏🏻💕🌻

Most of the crew were more typical American men who didn't even realize just how clueless they were about the world, it's different cultures and all the unanswered questions. I respect people who are not content and who insist on learning more. Elvis was a bright guy and it doesn't surprise me that he wasn't satisfied with his education. You know, I am an Elvis fan, and I have been since I was a boy. I'm 55, so I'm not from his generation, but I love the music. Having said that, I am not a fanatic, and I recognize the tragedy and the toll taken on Elvis, and everyone Elvis loved, his family, and the people who lived with him, and who loved him personally. But I have to be honest here. I look at these people, and thousands of others just like these people who worship Elvis, and after all these years are still obsessed with Elvis, as if he were God. I just find it sad. This goes beyond loving the memory of a truly talented, extremely charismatic, generous and kind hearted man. It's sad. I hope this doesn't come off as mean spirited, because that is not the intent. I just feel that these people after all these years are retelling stories, and each and every word, every detail over and over and over. And I see these people, and so many more who had never met Elvis and I see them hanging on every word, every story, riveted and excited at the water flying off his head and hitting someone as if they were in the presence of God. Elvis was a Christian man, until he met Larry who introduced Elvis new age nonsense, and convinced Elvis, who was in a state of deep depression, and seriously addicted to pain killers, and in that state Larry convinced Elvis that he was one of the "ascended masters" and took Elvis away from the Lord. This kind of reverence is not what Elvis would want, there are many stories of Elvis being tired of being "worshipped" like this. He was a humble man until the drugs got. I have great respect for the people who were truly close to Elvis like Sony, and Red West, both departed now, and those few close friends, and family who were with him from the beginning and right to the end. None of those true friends had anything good to say about Larry. I just find the whole thing sad. Jack

All the hangers on are just making money out of obsessive fan's, it wasn't that long after his death before they all started cashing in on him, None had a bad word to say really as the last thing they wanted to do was upset the crazy fan's, and the first thing they wanted was to make money out of him. You could say that in a way the hangers on is what kept his legacy going for so long, all those that knew him giving tv, magazine interviews, writing books, giving talks etc. It's popular to Hate Tom Parker yet more money has been made out of Elvis since he died than Parker ever made out of him whilst he was alive, and in all Fairness he was just his manager, he found him work and arranged appearences etc, no reason why someones manager should care deeply for their client on a personal level. My manager at work provides me with work does less than me and earns more than me, pretty damn sure they don't spend any time worrying about me on a personal level, only concerned that I do my work properly so they can do theirs and get paid. Larry was a Hairdresser to the stars who then became a full time hairdresser for Elvis, plus a friend, he was certainly paid very well with plenty of perks such as new cars, expensive gifts and so on, Yet Still tries to make money out of him decades after he died, the crazed fans Allow this to happen. If a dozen people are happy to pay 25 bucks " or whatever it costs" to listen to someone talk about a dead person for an hour and possibly buy their book you can't blame them really

No one comes to the father, except thru him. Elvis was very vulnerable at the time he met Larry. Searching for answers. I believe Larry was a huge detriment to his spiritual growth. He led him astray. I believe if Elvis missed the boat, it was because of Larry's false doctrine. There us only one way to God, and that is thru Jesus Christ. You can't take anybody away from the lord by teaching him how to relax. That us what meditation does, calms you down, like an exercise. But, its all mental, you start to learn to respect your body, control your breathing to calm you. If you are in meditation you are asked to think of good thoughts, not bad ones, cuz, you won't get to the meditation state. Maybe you should try it one day, with a person to teach you, how to enter meditation. I feel you will think different. It's just a suggestion😉

Larry you were such a good friend to Elvis and him to you!! He really had respect for Elvis and truly loved him❤️ I wouldn’t loved to know Elvis and Larry😊 I am a cosmetologist also😊 I really love Elvis I thought I would be the first female Elvis impersonator lol
