I don’t think he ever knew how great he was. The stars who said one time that Elvis couldn’t sing effected him forever. So he was always trying to prove himself to people.

The charisma is a spiritual aura that people feel from Elvis and it’s blows people away, like an anointing. It’s a gift from God, Jesus had his hand on his heart.

I was close to delivering my second daughter and sitting on the floor watching TV. The news flashed accross the screen, Elvis has died! I was so upset, I tried to stop crying because I was concerned about my baby. I have cried oceans of tears ever since that terrible day! I still can't get enough of his music or looking at him on videos!

Besides his awesome voice, Elvis was very talented musically. No formal training, but he basically produced all his recordings from the very beginning, directing the musicians and singers on how to do the songs. They wouldn't have been the same without that.

Autopsy report showed Elvis lived for a short time there were broken blood vessels little haemorrhaging he lay on the floor long enough for these haemorrhages to occur before he finally died anything up to 5 minuets 10 minuets maybe 15 at the outset. doesn't consider himself a junkie he is drugged all the time can only keep up his gruelling performance schedule by relying on doctors prescribed pharmaceuticals and is becoming addicted to a powerful painkiller dilaudid synthetic heroin by 1977 elvis is hurting all the time drugs have ruined his intestines shut down his Colon he is bloated and in constant pain. in Elvis's mind it makes the drugs all the more necessary despite the problems he presses on concert after concert working himself to death Elvis calls Dr Nick says he can't take the Codeine so Dr Nick prescribes him Dilaudid a powerful drug Elvis has taken many times but he gets his pills mixed up and takes the Codeine which caused him to get itchy and short of breath & clammy but the codeine triggers a deadly allergic reaction this tiny mistake killed him

It seems that we fail to comprehend that Elvis was not only an entertainer but a human being that needed a life like everyone else, a normal life when off the stage. When his mother was alive, he could be himself and live a normal life when not on the entertainment circuit well at least at home but of course in public he could not simply move about freely as the public would not leave him to do so and therefore he either stayed behind the walls of Graceland or he went out at night and paid venues to open up just for him and his friends to enjoy. His end of life was not glorious and was not normal and was very miserable and tragic and he suffered so much those last years and especially at the end of his life. Yes, he has great entertainment accomplishments that carry on but I would rather he had been able to also enjoy a full life away from that as well and I hope that he did find a way to do just that. I just pray he learned of the Saving Grace of Christ Jesus before he died and became Saved! Elvis had a generous giving nature and his deeds towards others and towards charities proves it! We must remember that and in our own small way we should emulate it also for that is the best salute to Elvis and his memory. Rest in peace brother! Hoping to hear you singing with the angels in Heaven when I am called one day to the LORD!

I've noticed that in the Elvis reaction videos from the millennium. I found it odd although I like Michael Jackson but I don't think it is something to be compared to . it's like apples and oranges even Michael Jackson said that once on one of the talk shows when they asked him about Elvis I can't remember what it was but definitely he gave credit where credit was due and that does say something about how wonderful about Michael Jackson Michael Jackson knew the score

He was the full package, and never forgot where he came from..he has earned the right to be respected! Its just a total shame that this industry ended up killing him..and the blame for that goes to more then one person! I'm a second generation fan and he has my love and respect!

I love this video !! There was some stories told that I had never heard about before . I really enjoyed this . I still love Elvis's song's , his concert's , his movie's , and the movies made about him . I agree , I have never seen anyone as big as Elvis . I have seen some come pretty close , but never like Elvis Presley . He left us all that loved him so much to remember him by . I was the same age as Lisa Marie when Elvis died and about a year and half later my daddy died too . My family and I have always loved Elvis Presley . Now my little granddaughter that's 4 year old knows who Elvis is and she loves him too . lol !! I have always wanted to visit Graceland , but I haven't ever got to , but I sure hope I get to visit Graceland someday before I leave this world . I have been to Nashville Tennessee a couple of times . I been to the Ryman Auditorium , the Country music Hall of Fame , and I took some pictures of a couple of Elvis's cars . I also have been to studio B where Elvis recorded some of his song's . I just wish they would stop tearing down some of the buildings that he recorded in , like I think it was the RCA building where he recorded Jail House Rock , the hospital where Lisa Marie was born and where Elvis died , and the Colonel's house and offices . I hate when they tear down places that have so much history . I think to myself ....what a shame . Anyway.... Thanks again for sharing some more stories about Elivs Presley's life . I love it !!!💗

There are, so far, 4 generations of Elvis fans in my family. He had no idea how long his legacy would continue on. He really was amazing! As for MJ, please don't mention his name in the same breath with Elvis'. It's an insult.

The difference between Elvis and Michael and other singers? They may have something, but Elvis had everything as quoted by his 5th grade teacher; "Everyone has something but Elvis had everything." And as BB King mentioned in his interview when asked about Elvis "He had everything, he's good looking, he's tall, the voice, charisma, everything." He was also a good, humble, respectful, generous person. Love family, friends and his fans, Everyone who've met him was amazed how much good looking he was in person than in pictures and has nothing but praises for him. He was truly blessed. I don't understand why some people can't just face the fact that he changed the music and he was a great performer from the start, bar none. He started it all: dancing while singing, first satellite concert in "Aloha from Hawaii", first unplugged, before MTV, in his 68 Comeback Special. Google "What music professors" say to know why he was considered the greatest singer.

Despite the personal problems he had, despite the flaws he might have, these people highlight Elvis' good side. That's why the documentaries I like the most are the ones that include the bandmates. I don't like Joe Esposito. He is fake. In other documentaries he said bad things about Elvis, went into private details that should not be made public. True friends do not do this. The bandmates always spoke well of him, the generosity, the concern Elvis always had with all those around him. This is Elvis who has to be praised.

Elvis had many people. Just none seemed to care enough, until after he passed away. If I had been in his life, I would have gone above and beyond to get him the help he was so in need of. All those guys, of the Memphis Mafia they just wanted to party with him on his dime. And threw up or left him to the wolves. I know he was adult. But, instead of trying to curb the partying, they probably initiated a lot of it.

@@ontheroadhome4796 ya right !! If you his friend and advised Elvis about his pills, he would point a gun at your head. He would lose his temper and throw things at your. Its not like nobody helped. His people tried to talk him out of it, his girlfriends and his ex wife. he just wouldnt listen. Elvis would even give those tablets to his people in Graceland. if you said no, it would upset him. Dont simply blame it others for what happened. the only person who could save him was Elvis himself. Go read about him from those who had been close to him. All had the same account to tell.

Virtually everyone that knew parker said he was a good guy, he got elvis out of stuff he didn't want to do and took the rap for everything. He liked playing the bad guy but the truth is he wasn't. The people that knew him spoke highly of him, the people that never met him think badly of him. This proves just how good he was at keeping Elvis's image clean

  • @gassbaggerwoods5955

he wasn't he was not a nice person many that met him said so When Parker first started as Elvis's Manager 1955/56 he made a deal he said "you take care of the singing and i'll take care of the business and one will not interfere with the other"! and for a while it worked that way until the latter stages and Parker started getting involved with everything till he was telling Elvis wat to do about everything he knew he could make millions out of Elvis the parasite he used & abused him he robbed him blind managers don't get 50% of their clients earnings got to be that he was earning more than Elvis in the end Elvis had told Parker for 20yrs he wanted to go overseas to Europe he always wanted to go he wanted to thank them in person that was always important to him. Parker stopped him put his foot down would not allow Elvis that far away with no chance of controlling him.he became a control freak he hated not having complete control over him Parker was not an American citizen but an illegal Immigrant a Dutchman even the name Colonel he took from somewhere Everything was about money to Parker he always pushed deals to make more money he sacrificed Elvis's career & happiness for Money! But once Elvis realised he outgrew Parker he saw him as a promoter. Parker didn't know his artist the drive wat they needed for their own satisfaction creatively he would say"your making movies why do you want to make other kinds of movies your making money"! Elvis was thirsty for the arts he wanted to do movies with substance wanted to do other things and would tell Parker his ideas but that was a near impossible as it only served him to shut it down Elvis always resented that & he got very discouraged he had pretty much no say in anything anymore but Parker didn't get it he was a promoter not a manager. creative Disappointment caused all the other problems!

@@gassbaggerwoods5955 These points have all been refuted. Parker was paid 50% on licensing and merchandise. His fee was 25% on all other earnings. This deal was negotiated in 1967. After Elvis' divorce, Vernon asked Parker to reduce his 50% fee to 1/3% (for which Parker complied) so which Elvis could more easily pay the settlement. No, Parker was not an American citizen, but he was a legal alien. He had the right to live and work in the U.S. None of this had any bearing on his management style. You act like he tried to rip Elvis off, but Elvis SURE NEVER hurt for more money. Parker did something right. Elvis lived lavishly to the very end. I explained in another comment. There are valid reasons why Elvis never ended up going to Europe. It wasn't viable financially and security was questionable. Customs would have found his perpetual supply of drugs and stopped him. Really? How do you know whether Elvis outgrew Parker? Parker didn't need to know Elvis. He simply handled the business side of things. DON'T SPEAK FOR ELVIS. You haven't earned the right.
