Best show I every saw. with dave edmunds and nick lowe opening, the show was amazing. still have the "This years model" poster that found it's way home with me.

Wow! You have the poster from The Shaboo. There are two people doing a documentary about The Shaboo right now. It’s a very serious project. I’ll bet they would love to hear your recollections of that show and see that poster. Shaboo was the greatest club of all time.

Holy SHIT!!! "Good to be back in a little place again" . This is gold - my first EC show. Blessings upon you!

A rare show that features intensty AND great dynamics....and speed that isnt "runaway". And a truly apocalyptic Lipstick Vogue, and maybe the best Detectives ive heard. And Radio & Waiting/World are chunky as F! This recording is a real Steve Naive tour-de force.

That was a hell of a show, thanks for sharing it!

Judging by the recording it seems like people 9n the back where yelling for people up front (or somewhere) to sit down. It was pretty wild.

@@thesheaproject Where did I find the audio. Hmmmm……. Good question. Somewhere on the web but the exact URL I don’t recall. You were so fortunate to be there. Have you seen the photographs from the show. A gentleman who is now deceased left a huge box of negatives which his son found and photos from that show that he took were in there. Photos from The Shaboo are very rare. That was quite a find.

@@TomKaszuba I've only seen the few photos on the EC wiki (9 or 10) - and by the way, just found this story of the mayhem in the audience there: "With each familiar number, "Red Shoes," "Hand in Hand, "Lip Service" and so on, came louder screams for those in the front to be seated so that everyone on the sides and in the back could witness the event. But the pleas were not heeded immediately and the moving performance of "Alison" was thus hindered by the chanting. One girl, standing in the very front, totally ignored the pleas and nothing, not even continuous bombardments of ice cubes could get her to retreat."
