Literally, basically the entire point of his character was that he used to be a scum bag but learned, improved, and is now a literal superhero. How tf do you then fire him over something like that. Clearly some upper exec who never actually watched the show and has the sole mission of making the CW shows as woke as possible.

The crew had way to much fun with how this guy used his powers. Possibly one of the best parts of his later seasons

The cgi was a tragedy in this show as a whole but the cgi on his powers are probably the best of the show

@@DaSilverJoker I’ll be honest when talking about CW’s the flash I understand the inconsistency in the story because super speed is hard to write for 44 minute episodes and 25 episode seasons, but I don’t know the story behind the cgi but if you look up “the flash cgi” you will see what I mean

Elongated Man on an episodic television series budget, and we still can't get an even halfway decent Mister Fantastic in movies costing millions, and utilizing the 'best', most sophisticated cgi money can buy. Massive kudos to the makers of The CW Flash.

They basically took Elongated Man, and gave him Plastic Man's goofy personality. In the DC Comics, Elongated Man had a sense of humor, but he was more or less as serious as most other DC superheroes. Plastic Man was the goof ball, because unlike Elongated Man, he was from the Golden Age of Superheroes, and maintained more of that goofy humor for the kids that were reading the comics back then. In fact, many of these characteristics shown above by Elongated Man - like his changing his face and body to mimic the descriptions of bad guys - was TOTALLY what Plastic Man - NOT Elongated Man - did in the DC comics. Plastic Man was sort of the Daffy Duck version of Elongated Man.... And Elongated Man did not stretch out his body into weird shapes and sizes mostly - that was another of Plastic Man's character traits. Elongated Man was essentially the DC Comics' version of Marvel Comic's Mr. Fantastic, or Reed Richards. I say this purely for Marvel Comics fans, who like to believe that everything DC Comics came up with, was stolen from Marvel Comics, when in truth it was the other way around. Elongated Man was created by DC Comics in early 1960, while the Fantastic Four - of which Mr. Fantastic was a part of - was created by Marvel in late 1961. But like Richards, Elongated Man essentially just stretched his limbs and torso to great lengths, like a rubber band: to reach great distances, or rescue victims from unreachable places, or to wrap themselves around enemies like human boa constrictors, constraining them. It was Plastic Man who not only stretched himself, but also flattened, twisted, inflated, and deformed himself into other non-human objects and shapes to disguise himself from being noticed. Like silly putty.....

@@roystonlodge you would be wrong, as it was his origin that he changed how his face appeared in his persona as Plastic Man. Even in his original origin story, in Police Comics #1 in 1941, when Patrick "Eel" O'Brian was living a life as a crooked robber, and was shot by the police and left for dead by his gang during a robbery, woke up in Safe Haven, recovering from his gunshot wounds that were saturated with chemical liquids. He first realized his body had changed by stretching, and seeing his arms stretch 10 feet long. Then he was able to pull his cheeks away from his face at least a foot. Then he was able to stretch his head upwards with both hands until it was two feet long. O'Brian was touched by the monks at Safe Haven who found him and gave him sanctuary while he recovered, that he vowed to turn away from a life of crime, and decided to pretend to rejoin his gang in order to capture them, as Plastic Man. After rejoining his gang of criminals, they include him into a caper to beat up and steal from a bank courier who is bringing half a million dollars to the bank (apparently without the use of a armed trucked). at the crime scene, Plastic Man (as O'Brian) chooses to drive the car since he was left behind on the previous job (and also so he can catch his former gang in the act). Clearly on Page 35, on the top middle pane, after the gang leaves the car to follow the courier, O'Brian says "they've gone! Now to strip to my new costume, and change my face!!". SO, it's been Plastic Man canon from the very beginning that Plastic Man can change his facial appearance with his rubbery flesh. And throughout his stories, he's done this more times than can be counted.....

I mean, Reed can sort of do a bit of Plastic Man's stuff, as in he can change his shape quite a bit. He can also inflate like a balloon, or at least he's done it a few times.

Man's is like Luffy, or Mr Fantastic, or Plastic Man. Love to see it.

Him being used as a tool or weapon by other characters is always awesome

Cisco and Ralph are some of my favorite heroes. Both have incredible powers and personalities. Shame they werent used to their fullest potential longer.

It's a shame that they fired him over some old news, he was one of my favorite actors on the show

I really hope that both Netflix's team & Oda take the CW's CGI for Ralph into consideration when working on Luffy's powers.

I dunno man, this seems like a bit of a stretch.

He got fired over nothing. None of it had anything to do with his competence as an actor and his ability to do his job. It still feels like they had another reason for firing him and only used that lame excuse. Because I'm telling you, I don't want to believe that that's really how petty, stupid, and sensitive this generation is. It's not like he was a major factor in The Flash as a TV show, but his departure is one of the reasons I'm glad the show is finally ending.
