  • @jackanthony976

Elizabeth did NOT like Barbara Eden. They had adjacent soundstages and shared a make-up room. It was well known that Elizabeth resented Eden's capitalizing on the witch character created by Elizabeth by portraying a genie (sort of similar to being a witch). Barbara herself stated that Elizabeth was rather catty in the make-up room and most of the time ignored Miss Eden. Nor did Elizabeth like the fact that Barbara Eden had a similar look to Elizabeth's and seemed to copy Elizabeth's acting gestures and acting style for the show.

Elizabeth Montgomery was adorable. She was a bit shy. You can see how she's holding her purse that she's a bit nervous. But what a talented woman! Most of all, she was a kind and gentle person, from what those who knew her have said. Having said that, she would stand up for what she believed in, peace, human rights, those with disabilities, and more. Her talents were on display before BEWITCHED, during BEWITCHED, after BEWITCHED. But there are few actors/actresses that have an iconic symbol associated with them as "the twitch" is with Elizabeth, a symbol of love. But from her point of view, she had to move away from BEWITCHED In order not to be stereotyped, which can kill a career. Elizabeth Montgomery was a master of that by going on to appear in some classic TV movies, two of which are memorable, A CASE OF RAPE (which Liz loved doing), which was one of the first, if not the first, issue oriented TV movies that got laws changed, and THE LEGEND OF LIZZIE BORDEN. In both cases, Liz was excellent. R.I.P. beautiful lady.

My mom went to a couple of tapings and I guess the studio was very small, had a riser of bench seats and a bunch of metal folding chairs. But he got major celebrities on that show. A big fan of his was Moe Howard who would sit in the audience quite often

Bewitched series never becomes old or boring. It is currently on Silver Screen in Canada twice a day...mid morning & evening. I never miss it..no commercials really helps keep your interest as well. ALL good actors on this show. Great chemistry between Elizabeth & Dick York.

After Elizabeth Montgomery finished her acting job on the famous "Bewitched" tv sitcom, she made famous movies in the '70's like "The Legend of Lizzie Borden" that I've never seen, and must see it on dvd or blue-ray. One day around this time or shortly afterwards, a woman author writing a book about witchcraft had asked Elizabeth to write the introduction to this book believing Mrs. Montgomery "really" was a witch. The author asked her "But you really ARE a WITCH, aren't you?" Elizabeth's reply to the author with a nice smile was "No, I'm just a fantasy witch".

Preteen Mom who could make supper in a wink. Later A just teen and now I know where my later teen years interest for older women came from and sometimes preference for tough blondes came from as Butch and the Sun-Dance proved . Too soon did she pass. May God bless you still from a 60s generator , kid.

He cheated on her. Before they got married, he was actually known to cheat and she told him if he ever cheated on her; that was it. She was married 2x before him. The first one, she was young and it wasn't LOVE. They divorced after a year. She was with her second husband for six years but he was an alcoholic and said to be abusive. After William cheated on her, she dated Richard Michaels for 2 yrs then started dating Robert Foxworth. They were together for 22 yrs but only married for 2.

Yes, this was probably after production wrapped on season two, and Liz went on the "talk show circuit", promoting the show. "THE MIKE DOUGLAS SHOW" was videotaped and seen in black and white until 1967; at the time, the show was on weekday afternoons, in New York, on WOR-TV.
