This is the prelude to the 10 days exercise 30 Kg in the bag water and weapon, on top special patrol gear circling in the unit. My friend had 18 blisters after that walk, still went for the next 10 days, and earned his Patrol Color. Tough bastard.

Just a note on the civilians, apparently they went through a 7 month training program about military work before they where admitted to the program. The conclusion however was that that wasnt good enough so now you need to have a military background again to get admitted.

If it is standard danish equipment, when I was in the danish military was 36 kg backpack, but that was 20 years ago.

We use the Canadian c8 for the danish troops and some of the older versions of c8 is still being used for traning and then we have the m60e6 as lmg so not that old guns but before that we used the good old mg3 and there is probably still a few being used 😅 and Jægerkorpset is using the SIG sauer mcx and also the mk18 m4 but dont now if they still use them or they only use sig sauer mcx today 😊

Yeah, I think they are pretty well equipped for most of their equipment.

You can see the translation software struggling with the language

I noticed it translated "skarpskydning" til "sniping". :D Når det i virkeligheden skulle oversættes til "live firing". There's quite a difference.

What makes you think it's done by software?

@@akyhne In many cases the translations are very literal. In some cases the literal translations even incorrectly changes the meaning of the sentence. For instance my example above, with "skarpskydning" being translated to "sniping", when what was actually meant, was "live firing". A completely different meaning. Too literal translations is typically a behavior seen from software translation, because the software cannot always infer the context. Alternatively, it has just been translated by someone rather bad at English or Danish.

@@impero101 This is most definetly not auto translated. I've done a lit of translation in my time, I've worked as an internationalizer on a large Open Source project, managing hundreds of translators and I know auto translation software very well and their flaws. Just an example, as I just started watching episode 7, one of the teachers in the beginning says "Jeg synes eddermame det er grælt" and it's translated to "It's goddamn blatant". That's a human translation, not a bot. A bit later, "Er vi friske?" translated to "Are we well?". And the answer from the remaining aspirants is "Javel", but subs says "Yes, sir". Clearly not auto translated.

@@akyhne Well, then it's just a bad translation, with a rather large number of inexcusable errors.

Jægerkorpset has used the Swedish Flygbasjägare as a hunter force in the past, do they still do?

I remember the first documentary from the early 90s, back then it was the British Hunter Force (that was the name given for the unit), their primary operations theater back then was Northern Ireland, those lads did not wear kid gloves.
