    Here's what's going on with this video. This past week has been pretty intense. I had a massive web project that demanded all my time. I didn't have time to produce the video that I wanted, which was a review of ChromaCam. I did record it, but I rushed it, and it turned out to be a massive 17-minute blob of garbage. Luckily last Friday, my Elgato mic boom came in, and I made a quick video on it. I was going to bail on a Tuesday release but decided to use this video instead. When I post videos on Tuesday, I always premier them because I love talking with everyone while the video is playing for the first time. It's fun. The only problem is the video is only 2 minutes long. I decided to add some length to it so I could talk longer with my homies. I'm going to have to cut out the end part because the snail footage got the video demonetized.

    Wish I could have joined you live Scott but man that's an early premier for those of us on Pacific time. Hit me up if you ever want any help with your audio related stuff. I'd be glad to go through your setup personally.

    A decent shock mount would go along way in eliminating more of those sound transfers. As then the mic is suspended witin the shock mount it wont get the vibration transferred to it from moving the arm or thing hitting the desk. Of corse having it pickup the acutal sound the impact makes is different.

    Thanks Joe. Yep! This mic boom is quality. The clamp is rock solid, the arm has weight to it. It comes with extra weight if you mic is not heavy enough. I use the Sure MV7 which does not require the extra weight. The channel for you mic wire is easy and it looks very clean. There's a swivel mount for the mic so you can position the mic in any way you wish. I love it. The product is fantastic.

    Hey Scott! I was checking out your video on adding a timer for my OBS, SUPER HELPFUL VIDEOS BY THE WAY, i plan on learning as much as possible with your videos. Anyways I have OBS version 1.5.0 on my Mac and I cannot for the life of me find the Tools like how you do in your video. I don't have that option on the top menu bar when working in OBS. Did it move?? Thanks!

    Hi Scott, I really loved watching every video uploads from you. Can you make a video comparing all HDMI capture card on the markets from the cheapo Chinese product to the premium one like Elgato Camlink or Avermedia Live Gamer please?

    Camtasia. Quality control is a bit funky. Version releases can sometimes screw up your setup. All in all the software is excellent.

    Thanks for the video. I will still pass for now, until some kind of growth. I think it also matters what your desk is made out of. I made mine out of a 8 x 2.08 (1.75 inch thick) block - Birch counter top. My issue is the keyboard and controller button sounds still picking up. Noise gate doesn't help, if I put too high, it cuts my voice off (soft spoken). Currently using a red 2016 / $7.99 Boom Scissor Arm Stand I bought off Amazon.

    Yes! Masterstroketv. This is accurate. When I made this video, the boom was clamped centrally on my desk. This made it ring. I just moved the mount to my window sill, and it's now dead quiet when I bang my desk. I actually like to hear the button clicks of my keyboard. Sometimes I amplify the sound. I'm in the educational niche, so it's expected sometimes. 7.99 boom scissor arm? Yes, that's the arm I used to have. The springs make it ring like a bell.

    Hi I have a question: How can I pause and play Videos as Mediasource in OBS. Can’t find the right option. Do I have to install a plug-in or is there another option?

  • @ScottFichter

    @ScottFichter

    2 жыл бұрын

    Frico, when you insert a "Media Source" with a video or sound, click that source. You will notice that a pause button with a scrubber shows up right below the preview screen. You don't need a plugin because it's all built right into OBS. Later homie.
