I'm sure OBS will eventually fix the issue. The complexity of the software from the developer's perspective must be insane.

Steadily building up my channel for w while now...I've been wanting to change up look, did a simple cut/paste thru OBS...Came across you for OBS tips...dl the app for Low 3rds then....Frustration & anger were setting in...Came across the Bob Ross fix...U are THE MAN!!! Thanks so much...U have another fan & sub...

@@ScottFichter I was just thinking I had moved the file and I needed to relink it. When that didn't work, I did what I always do when I have a question about OBS- search your name and the issue. Like magic, you always seem to have the video with the answers I need. 😉

Thanks for the this video.... I just recently installed OBS and watched your Lower Third video and was pulling my hair out trying to figure out why it was not working (v27.2.4) even though I followed all the steps... this URL fix did the trick. Great videos, Scott! :)

I wish I found this sooner! I spent hours trying to get it to work before I figured out to uncheck the local file box. Lesson learned, just watch your videos first!

Lol, yes, it did make me laugh. It was causing people in the Sanctuary to wonder what was wrong with me! It ,also, saved the day, thank you very much. When I left Friday everything was working perfectly and when I came in Sunday morning we had no lower thirds. Suing your instructions I managed to get it up and running again. We use these lower thirds every Sunday so this was a life saver. Thanks

WOW, Thanks for that Scott! From what I glean here the makers of OBS just made it possible to install remote docks by the HTTP protocol, just as in the local FILE protocol. BTW, sounds like Prozac might have been involved in the making of this video. LOL j/k
