Tuile biscuits can be made in so many different ways and always elevate your dessert. In this video we're going to make a sesame tuile biscuit from scratch, and learn how to shape it before it hardens. Hopefully by the end the video you'll have another great way to up your dessert plating game.
As always on this channel we won't just make these crunchy little biscuits, we'll show you how you can use them too by plating up a dessert in a fine dining style.
We'll also discuss the different components needed to make a perfectly plated dessert.
We've used a South African Peppermint Crisp Tart to showcase this tuile idea today, but this will work with any cold set dessert. Hope you have fun recreating some of your favourite recipes.

Thank for your comment. Have you seen my other tuile video... this one is quite a thick paste, but the other one is a basic paste and much finer. They're both great garnishes though.

Well I had to make the tuiles again and this time they came out much better! I didn’t have an offset spatula so couldn’t get them as level as you showed. Plus sharing the oven with four line cooks didn’t make it any easier. Thank you so much!

I don't see why you can't if you crush them quite small. Let me know how you get on if you try it 😉
Hi, really love your channel, can I use regular sugar instead of liquid glucose ?

Thanks for your comment. Liquid glucose and sugar are quite different so I don't know if it will work. I would think maybe golden syrup might be a better substitute... although it'll be darker and sweeter. If you try normal sugar, let me know how you get on.
