Like someone already said I was also searching for the sounds you can make with it and all of the other tutorials I found were kind of bleh :) And I was worried about the dull and ordinary sound. But your video and stuff that you made with it sold it to me, that's the kind of music I'm leaning into

Finally, someone who can make this thing sound decent. I wasn’t impressed by the tracks during the Elektron reveal, or most of the tracks on KZread, so I was gonna grab an A4 instead of this as my next Elektron box, but now you’re giving me second thoughts.

oh man i'm putting together some of my favorite tips n tricks as we speak, the more I sink my teeth into this box the juicier it gets. the A4 is still no slouch though! The A4's ARP is really really fun

Seems like it’d be a great pair with my MD UW - would vastly expand MD’s sound pallet and good way to free up tracks on Syntakt by sampling some of it’s drum hits into MD. Other than maybe Pulsar 23, I couldn’t imaging ever needing or wanting anything else for electronic drums/percussion.

Digitone, digitakt, syntakt and analog heat. Very satisfying that they all match

Great video , i'm actually thinking of grabbing one , but i struggkle to get this info : when you route a track in the FX blok (bus) , in overbridge when you get individual tracks , t do they get their FX blok impacted sounds routed or is it pre FX blok (same for reverb send ect ..) , do we get the sounds treated or raw and the FX alone ( as a track /. buss oldschool way)? thks

if you're in overbridge you can pull a stereo track from the FX block all the individual tracks do not go through it unless you route them. so i think that's what you're referring too when you say old school way, it's essentially a bus. You can route the reverb and delay through it too, but recording the reverb and delay is a little cumbersome honestly.

(the elektron demo songs are horrible as always) you kinda sold me... question is : should i sell my a4 and rytm and get this(recently sold my digitone)? kinda makes them obsolete...(except the samples on rytm of course) more syntakt videos from you coming?

aw thank you! yeah i'll for sure have some more on the way, super excited to sink my teeth into it ! and idk that's tough, the A4 has some amazing additional melodic functions, as well as extra outputs and CV, and the RYTM has some AMAZING performance optimizations, and the sample layering. so i guess it would completely depend on how you're using them, and how you see yourself using the Syntakt - but i would say that there's a little overlap. personally, i see myself using the syntakt + digitakt as a combo, using sampled breaks + whacky things and layering basses and pads + extra perc and FX from Syntakt

@@soffter hell yeah, make a jungle/idm tune on dt and st! Post it to your channel, you deff have the chops after hearing your stuff! Ooof imagine running a crusty amen or think break from digitakt through the syntakts fx block. Can't wait to buy my syntakt, it'll pair up well with my polyend tracker and digitone.

I feel you about being picky with drum machines. Which was a lot of the reason I got the Syn, and also because it's just a dope synth. Again, I'm one of those analog enthusiast weirdos, so I'm all about analog hardware gear, and I recently got an RD-9. Love it, but I mean there's only but so much tweaking I can do from jam to until it's just painfully obvious that those are 909 drums lol. Then I think as a creative I should be able to make them sound different - which made me think about getting an Analog Heat box for the distortion circuits. But then I was like f it, just get a Syntakt! I do believe I'm all set on drums lol ⚡

@@sooperheep What's beautiful about the Syntakt is the analog fx track, so you can process any of the digital sounds through it (if you want to).

And I'm the reverse of you, I use digital snares a lot, they tend to sound perfect for what I'm wanting.

Chord generator sounds like m8 wav paraphonic / wav tables / and nanoloop FM (gba/device) !!!!!

@@dystopia-0616 it’s a groove box 📦 means synths and drums 🥁 and No Polyphony makes the synths hard to use and the chord function is from the model cycles I dislike

So it's a Digitakt with no Sampler?

Nah it's a different sort of thing, the digitakt is a sampler thru and thru, you can do cool stuff with single cycle waveforms and have it act like a synthesizer, but it'll always BE a sampler, Syntakt is a synthesizer, with 12 tracks, 8 of em are digital based and can host a variety of different synthesis engines, and 4 are analog and can host different analog synth engines. and then there's like a baby version of the Heat with the FX track, so yeah, if having synth engines at your fingertips is cool to you, and analog signal path is also cool to you, then the syntakt is gonna be really cool for you, but if you're more into having samples to manipulate or you just dont care about the synth stuff, maybe the digitakt would be cooler. i have both ! gonna use em together :)

@@brownmoney27 mm, the main reasons: footprint, more diverse sound sources and you can automate/modulate external synths and apply fx to them. The MkII cannot do that and you can only use the master distortion and compressor for external gear. Because it’s new I anticipate it has potential for more impressive and flexible updates in the future.

@@brownmoney27 yea it all depends on your priorities and preferences. There would be trade offs. If you get the syntakt you can’t sample. That’s a bummer because sampling via usb with your phone is amazing. You’d also lose out on song mode and the scene and performance features. Alternatively you could just have a syntakt and digitakt and call it a day. I think there are enough workarounds with those two to satisfy those trade offs for similar-ish cost.

yeeeeeee you know how to make a tasty beat, i feel like nearly all of these demos so far are JUNK, like no matter what machine these guys get their hands on it comes out corny and bland. nice work

Machinedrum is much classier nicer, just more pro all around...

Syntakt is just a nice toy for the apple-millienials "the weekend" generation, in german we say daddel daddel
