Yeah when they copied the idea and demoed it you see the guy saying that is so cool but after half way through the video you see a twitch and it starts and then he says the reason won’t see these any time soon is bla bla bla. I think he said that cause everyone else that has the market on ev looks dumb now with this one lol.

While I am a gearhead who loves engines, this is the electric power I actually wouldn't mind. It's still mechanical with crankshaft, chain and sprockets and possibly belts and pulleys if it powers accessories (the mechanical parts in an engine I love), just relying on electromagnetic power to drive the crankshaft. If it wasn't underperformed then it's honestly an EV powertrain I wouldn't mind having. I bet a car with such engine would still work with a manual transmission too ⚙️

I’ve always felt this push in the news that we’re gonna have all electric cars in 5-7 years was insane I mean, we already have a massive infrastructure of gas running cars… but when I made one of these myself I wondered if you could get one to perform equal to a combustion engine, why couldn’t we get one of these guys to fit and hit a torque converter or transmission just like a combustion engine? It’s like you said man, electrically powered, but still runs mechanically and arguably if done right could still be worked on by most shops unlike these crappy teslas.

@@chasingghosts42069dude there’s genuinely no point of doing this. it’s much less efficient, introduces much more points of failure, and you genuinely still won’t get the noises you get from a traditional ICE

That’s crazy how people come up with the same stuff, the engine on my Mac truck broke a few months ago and I started researching engines, basically turning the crank is the purpose. Everything else is just there to do that. Weathers you use fuel air spark, diesel compression, steam, air, or whatever it’s the same concept. The magnet 🧲 and a magnet you can turn on and off. That’s what a solenoid is. So besides making demos have you put one in a car? I need one for my other semi truck. Have you measured power efficiency? Made any calculations? What made you think about it?

it only "turns the crank" as the crank is attached to "wheels", the actual end result is a linear motion of the vehicle ad contents. a maglev train isnt rotating anything, though a generator in a power station to convert the kinetic energy there into a form known as "electrical energy" is more than likely rotating... other than moving, the end goal of nearly everything is to heat it up. we heat food, we heat ourselves, we heat a fluid to then draw heat from a room so its "cold". we used to heat tungsten wire to make light, and still do in places. lot more to a solenoid than "turning it on and off". the whole process of simply "turning it on and off" is rather... intriguing in itself. like plumbing, if you arent careful. you get sprayed, and sometimes strange things happen that you cant account for without deeper understanding.
