And still gogin on with your nationalist bs.... Croatia is not a 3. world country. Poeple have access to education and can also study abroad, which many do. You can find great talent in every part of this world. The broader the access to education (basic needs covered of course) the better the chance for industrial development. Mates exceptional talent has nothing to do with his nationality, he studied in Munich btw. And also.. when he ran his electrified E30 he was ridiculed quite a bit, in Croatia.

@@icsbay7932 What do you mean by "still"? You're not one of these comment-stalkers are you?! Joking aside: where in my comment did I suggest that Croatia is a third world country? Anybody can deduce that it has an education system given it produces medical practitioners (evidenced by visible hospitals) and civil engineers (evidenced by visible modern structures). The point I was making is that Croatia isn't known for modern-tech and that fact has nothing to do with the Nation's education system but has everything to do with the culture of its people and Mate is Croatian ...but importantly a new breed of entrepreneurial Croatian who's breaking the lingering old-communist mindset. You said that "Mate's talent has nothing to do with his Nationality" and you're right, but he proclaims that RIMAC automobile proudly represents his people and it does...because a major component of any persons identity - including yours (unless you're a Globalist) - is their Nationality! Even if he never stated that RIMAC represents his Nation, the company certainly isn't German because he was educated in Munich.

The middle class has no representation in Washington DC with no representation comes elimination of the middle class therefore things like Cadilac a middle-class car is forbidden and are not allowed to continue on developing engines. Any violation of the Green New Deal resulting in a negative ESG report your supply chain will be broken. A functioning Blue-Collar vehicle doesn't exist hybrid or electric it's all lies and fudge'ing numbers. A Tesla could not win and compete in an event like Drag Week against the old fairly junky blue-collar cars racing. I've been a car guy my entire life and I can appreciate the "bleeding edge" automotive technology as much, if not more than the next guy, but at $2,500,000.00 I would expect more. It's really just the same old basic automotive technology for which 90% of it goes unused and therefore wasted. Case in point. I drive a 2010 Malibu LTZ. Bought it used in 2014 for $12,800.00. It comfortably transports twice as many people as the Rimac Nevera in just as much comfort. During rush hour commute, I was driving a major multi-lane route on my way to a doctor's appointment. This route frequently comes to a complete stop or crawls along between 8 and 14 mph. During that drive, a guy in a Tesla Plaid addition was in the lane next to me. Throughout the entire drive, we were neck and neck. Sometimes I was ahead and sometimes he was. Now a Tesla Plaid is not near as expensive as the Rimac Nevera and either would out perform my Malibu if we were the only cars on the road. The problem is real life is not like a car commercial where the performance car being advertised is all alone driving at its full potential. Driving, at least around where I live, is a pot holed piece of pavement, constantly under construction, clogged with school buses, old folks, soccer moms in SUV's and bozos that drive for 20 miles with their left hand turn signals on and never make a turn. Therefore, the extra $2,487,200.00 spent for that Rimac Nevera over my Malibu would just be wasted. A nice toy for the wealthy, but not a car I see being sold in the millions. (Unless we are talking price! :-D) In addition, I had to laugh when Jay said he had never seen that color before. He should check out the 1966, Pontiac Motor Division color that I believe was called Marina Turquoise. Of course, these are just a bunch of thoughts from a wise crackin' old guy! Having said all that, kudos to the guys at Rimac who have built a truly high tech piece of automotive hardware and to Jay for showcasing it to us.

Ya know this is a bitter-sweet moment for me. In the last decade it seems automobile manufacturing in the sports car segment has really reached a pinnacle - A point where the the whole car - engine, transmission, and chassis, etc has been pretty much perfected - They're efficient, fast, tight, and enjoyable. Take the new Mustang Mach 1 for example that was recently reviewed - its like the best of everything engendered well. And just when the combustion car has been perfected, we're going to be saying goodbye to it. It seems that's the way many technologies evolve. They get to a point where the product is perfected to such a degree that there is no other option but to evolve into something different. Now granted, I don't think combustion engines will be gone overnight, but I think you get the gist of what I'm saying and the emotions and sentiment behind it. And although someday, in the not to distant future, the combustion engine will be gone from new car manufacturing the memories and accomplishments of the past in terms of chassis design, brakes, suspension, etc. will be carried forward. The sweet part to this bitter-sweet evolution is that we will get amazing electric motors and technology like this Rimac Nevera. And when electric wheeled motor cars reach their pinnacle, the only next step in evolution is flying cars I would imagine. Even though its a bit sad to say goodby to the past, evolution like this is a good thing!

When Jay says at the end "I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did." No Jay we weren't sitting in the drivers seat! LOL Excellent car though. They definitely put allot of thought through out the car. "Very impressive!"

Man I got nervous when I saw the cop car! Outstanding. I’ve been dreaming the 4 motor thing for many years. Nice to see it implemented in a supercar. Congratulations Croatia.

Love how Jay starts talking about the motor is built with a carbon sleeve the engineer immediately changes to other carbon body bits and Jay immediately picks it up and moves on . Jay is truly a car guy and knows the business enough to know when certain topics are kinda off limits.

I watch pretty much every Leno's Garage episode -- I was so thankful for the episodes by himself during the COVID months. But I have to call Jay out here. A timeless design, he opined. OK. Subjective opinion. But timeless, not a lot of wings and scoops all over it? Ahhhhhhh. Maybe he's looking at his McLaren F1 across the garage. Keep 'em coming Jay.

every single bit of technology developed and integrated in this car is so impressive, but what really makes me say wow are the little things that show how with clever engineering you can solve big problems - many have been pointed out in this great episode, ill just mention the one that was overlooked but to me gives a wow effect - the car hood air intake moves independently and as you are increasing the speed of the car it positions itself in such a way to "direct" the airflow to push down the front of the car, so the faster you are driving the more "pinned" the car is to the ground. this is in my book the dictionary example of saying "if it looks stupid but it works, then it's not stupid".

I love seeing Jays face when driving this because he is like a little Kid! He has had the privilege of living his dream of comedy and his biggest dream cars. People take everything to him so he can joy ride and talk about it. But this car is a spaceship and Jay is having the time of his life and his smile is of a child. All of us have to strive for jobs that excites and brings us happiness.

Got a ride in the old 2017 Rimac and that was mental. Actually scared me and hurt my neck when accelerating. I think this same guy was driving it. It was in the woods around Monterey if I remember correctly

Loved the episode but I should just stop looking up how much any of these cars and just enjoy them and quit day dreaming about going out and seeing these in my garage. This car looks amazing and seems like one heck of a car to own! Love seeing what people are doing with electric cars, especially outside of Tesla and the established brands.
