Oh we love these rulers, perfect points & you don't cut off your tips (haha done that before). We do think it's important to show all the tools available. Thanks for watching & your comments! Is there a cool tool you do love & that we should feature?

I realize this video is 3 + years old, but I had to comment how excited I am to see how it works. I see this ruler in quilt stores many times and wondered how it worked. In my mind I could never figure out so I never purchased it. I thought it was to help you cut out the triangles and it confused me how the fabric could be cut with this ruler... duh Now I get it!! And YES, I see it's value. Lord knows, if your flying geese isn't near perfect it throws the entire quilt off, so this would be very valuable to most quilters. We all know "SQUARING UP" IS THE KEY TO A BEAUTIFUL QUILT. ( no one likes a wonky quilt, unless its your first quilt, wonky quilts are loved. 💖💖

Thank you so much for this. I had to learn a new method as part of a pattern and the photos didn't help enough.

I can't see the point (pardon the pun) in this ruler. There's too much work and too much waste of fabric in this method. Better ways to do this block. That's the problem with well known people in the quilting world they're into the hard sell regardless of how silly some of the stuff is on which they put their names.

Janet McCartaig I don’t agree. Their is very little waste to this method vs many other methods. The small amount of waste is acceptable considering how perfect the flying geese turn out. Eleanor Burns has given much to the quilting community for ages!! I taught myself using her books and watching her free videos waaaay before KZread was around!!! Her books and patterns are well designed and walk you through every step unlike so many patterns that are 1 page with general directions, and part of the pattern is on how to make binding. I challenge you to find another pattern author that gives as much detail as she offers.
