After school one day of 1985, at the age of 8 years old, I unlocked the appartment door with the key that was tied around my neck and entered into an empty place. I played this LP on my parents record player and sat on the sofa and cried. After playing this song over and over again my tears dried; however, as a silent depression took hold, my father walked in the door and saw the troubled look on my face. He said " Son it looks like you have alot on your mind". I said, "Yes Dad.... You see my mother and father were fighting for weeks about an affair my mother was having with the property security guard. This was just a few weeks after our Church had the largest revival of its entire history. I saw the hypocrisy, deceit, and lies in the lives of my parents, in contrast to the lyrics of this song - It broke my heart. Even to this day; 30 years later; this song symbolizes the end of innocence for me and the breakup of my family home.

Cafe Sardinia I was going through abuse and a horrific child hood. when I was 4 years old my mother had this amy grant tape and would play this song and whenever el shadai came on I would feel so much comfort. amy grants voice is so soft and calming she would sing me to sleep.
