Спорт

In today's Kung Fu Report we will look at what to do when you don't feel that you have enough short power to handle a confrontation. You may want to use rotation work or long fist (long power) techniques. But there are some very important things to consider before doing that. Let's discuss.

You have yourself a great training partner and student in that man he enjoys doing it and he is really paying attention the everything you are pointing out. I can see he is adding it all together in his head as you speak and demonstrate. 💯 great student.

I love the open mindedness and purposive flow style teaching so free be water - long fist is such a mystery and people like it- when combined maybe it’s not as bad you can’t use all king or all short.

Very cool application. How do you feel about the idea that most Long Fist techniques are actually gripping/throwing techniques? NTUMA (National Taiwan University's Martial Art's channel) had some interesting explanations on these techniques, but I'm curious how the swinging strikes transfer over to these Shuai Jiao type techniques.

Techniques from traditional kungfu routines can work if you have what it takes to make them work -- the speed, strength, agility, timing, cunning, and/or accuracy. If you don't, then you may need to de-mystify/-flower/-embroider the technique or just give it up and move on to another -- one that you have what it takes. Also, don't loose sight of the fact that some movements in kungfu routines are just exercises.

2:24 Only one thing. When you hit that pad with the wide choy Lee fut style hit you devastated the pad. Ridiculous power. But.. I warn you. ⚠️DONT USE THAT MUCH POWER IN REAL APPLICATION. You will absolutely destroy your own hand. If it lands anywhere near the wrist or worse, the fingers. ❤nasty hit though. On a wicked wide swing with tremendous inertia. Use the FOREARM itself. A slap with the hand that scoops his entire head forearm and all. Safer.

In karate we use the forearm. Also tuck the thumb under the fingers, we call it ridgehand and through it a bit differently but it's very similar

@@isaacwang1926 right exactly. See, I have a good relationship with the other KZread guys. I always make sure to say. I’m not necessarily right. But it’s hard to get somewhere when nobody has the balls to speak up. So I’m just honest instead. I’ve never seen ADAM do anything suspect. Just a concerned acquaintance. He’s one of the best in the world but even those guys can get excited n make a mistake. I was just afraid that he was hitting the pad so hard. It was harder than would be required to have an effect. It looks fantastic. It sounds even better. But the swing hit like that KNOCKS PEOPLE OVER. So I can only imagine if it’s a sharp object like a finger or wrist. Just wanted to make sure we were firing a safe weapon. ☮️🤛
