Really love your channel, I started my Wing Chun journey about 11 months ago and I find your content amazing!

This is one of my favourites so far. Important basics whilst illustrating use of technique from later forms. It’s great stuff and you don’t see many other channels competing that well in my opinion. 👍🏻

The thing you do in the last part of the video should "in my opinion" be the first thing you also do. (Bowing in respect). Respect!

Adam, I thought the final section in Biu Jee has the "shield elbow". At least that's one the applications I learned to use that part for. I know it's also for recovery etc.

I want to know how Chris deals with smaller people. What techniques/changes does he have to implement as a big dude

Thanks so much for the video, Adam! Ever since I saw your demonstrations, especifically against straight punches, where you usually seems to do the drill using pak sao, I always wondered if fak sao could be used and how Wing Chun techniques could be used against other styles of punches and martial arts! Also, nice to know that the man sao is also a great option!

Just a thought, but would you be kind enough to consider another video on this theme, but on tan-sao? You’ve opted for man-sao, but I was curious why not tan? It’s perhaps harder and riskier but still possible?

Tan sao collapses easier and can’t handle as much force. You must pivot and deflect sturdily. The fak sau jam/ interception is fast and natural, then you can grab right away and strike with the other first, palm, arm or elbow. In Krav Maga that bursting fak sau is part of their training against arc punches

@@izzywraps8446 bong sau against any sort of punch you know is coming is not a good idea. Bong is a second hand or form. Way I was taught there's 3 reasons to use bong. 1/ Your hands are down and you need to engage. So it's already not the best. Works more as a shield. 2/ You're in contact (trying to hit) and you have to redirect. Better because attacking. 3/ You get dragged so you go forward with a lower bong and hit with other hand or something challenges your lower half so you get off the line using lower bong again. You must always use footwork whether it's pivoting or stepping, for anything. Worst thing in a fight is to be a dummy.

Let's see you doing real hard sparring against someone who does not do Wing Chun ie broken rhythm and non compliant opponent and we will see how these moves play out when under pressure! I know these are demos and yes they look good but I have never seen a wing Chun practitioner use any of these trapping skills in a full on fight with someone from another discipline ! it all goes out the window and becomes a scrap.
