Educated Barfly vs Mutiny Cocktail

I don't watch a whole lot of cocktail shows on KZread, but one that I do make an effort to watch is the Educated Barfly. Leandro comes to his show from a very meticulous and matter of fact place. He has the education and the training to back up his points of view.
When he asked me to be on his show, talking about my home bar, I said, 'Hey! We should film an episode for my show too!' He was into it, and here we are!
My idea was to expose him to a tiki cocktail that he might not otherwise know about. It's not a drink that you regularly see in cocktail books... In fact, this is a recipe that my buddy, Hurricane Hayward, reverse engineered and put up on his website, The Atomic Grog. He's passionate about cocktails of the Mai Kai and we should all be very thankful for that!
Thanks to Leandro and Marius for joining me in The Breezeway, I'm sorry that I couldn't remember your names after 6 ounces of rum... And Steve the Bartender, I was absolutely just kidding. I would have taken that out of the video if I wasn't (though I still think you're too good looking for your own good). I hope you try the cocktail and let us know that you did!

Really great episode, Spike! You guys have good chemistry. I love drinks with coffee in them, but my friends turn their noses up at that flavor. I sometimes wish my friends were more sophisticated.

@@BreezewayCocktailHour wow! First time making a mutiny and it’s very good! Had to use a mix of Eldorado 12 year and a plantation 5yr. Love the coffee back notes!
Great channel, learning a lot! :) Why don't you use a manual juicer or a larger squeezer to get more out of the orange/grapefruit, and also doing it a lot quicker and less messy?
This was like me & my bartending buddies in Seattle circa 2011. We were insufferable. The overly analytical pontification\passive-aggressive flexing in this video brings back memories.🥃❤

That was awesome man!!! Leandro was serving the best "Old Fashioneds' at Cole's. When I finally had one there and had my mind blown🤯 I told myself I had to learn how to make it at home. I searched on KZread for videos on how to make them and that's how I discovered the Educated Barfly channel. After that I told myself why stop there, I want to make Tiki cocktails. And boom!!!!there was Spike's Breezeway Cocktail Hour. I'm so glad to see them both collaborating together. Great show guys!!!👍 Now can I suggest something??? I'm brainstorming here. Since Spike brought up the Henry Ford Cocktail production line. Let's have a mega "Spike's Breezeway Cocktail Hour Round Table"!!!! it would be cool to see Leandro return and make you a modern Mai Tai that has that modified citric acid stuff and see how it compares to the traditional recipe.

@@BreezewayCocktailHour I just bought Martin Cade's book. Perhaps it's inside... If I make it, I'm using Kona. Seems more appropriate. Not going so far as to make my ice out of Fiji water. That's too expensive. And why add 4 gtts of Pernod if it's already in Mondragon Mix No IIIVXX ? I did buy a flagon of Fassionola. Good stuff. I have about a one finger level of liquid in a pint flask of Baerjaeger honey liquer. I think that will become my base for Honey Syrup.

Oooo... not traditionally, but I would say that it certainly lives in the revival with things like surf music and hotrods.
While I was watching this video, it went from 11,999 views to 12,004. No garnish on this drink? Like a noose?
