I actually have a copy of Dusk/Dawn and had considered using it but had the exact doubts that you brought up so seeing it again and thinking about it from a different perspective was really really cool. I disagree with "arasta of the endless web" as it covers an important defense, I don't see anywhere else in the deck. Something that can block flyers and makes tokens that also can do that.

In my experience Arasta is extremely inconsistent, with high peaks and low valleys. Depending on the decks everyone else is playing, she can go from either extremely high value or a dead card in my hand even between different turn cycles so it’s a really difficult call to make whether or not she’s worth it. I originally ran her with “Shelob, Child of Ungoliant” and even in that deck she was really inconsistent so I can justify the cut even if I don’t really have any other way to block flyers.
