    Thank you sooo much for all your hard work and your tips!!! I'm beading this way for the first time in my life!!! I've made jewelry throughout the years but not cultural things, more with silver wire and crystals and the like! I'm working on a project facilitated by NCFST of Red Dress Pins bringing much-needed awareness to MMIWG2S+! so a large group of us are using your videos as little helpers along this journey! you are greatly appreciated and I personally am having issues with edging! LOL THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOU DO! Big Giant Hugs

    @@monac.8890 here is a couple suggestions i would love to see! ive seen some people will have strings of beads coming from the bottom of their medallion. A video tutorial on that would be nice, going over exactly how to attach those strings of beads and finish them off, and how you would do the medallion edging around it (not sure if youd do edging first or the strings of beads)

    I use Nymo thread and John James needles. You have to order online from many of the beading supply online stores..there are lots. I don't know about Micheal's. I'm sure they sell beading needle and thread. Stuff that might get you by in a pinch but my trusted brands are Nymo and John James

    Hey Mona! LOVE these videos of edging. It helps alot. I'm ah beader and learning different techniques helps my flow of creativity! I notice you use double thread. Is that just to ensure stability? I've always just single threaded. Is it custom to double thread when edging or otherwise?🤔😉

  • @monac.8890

    @monac.8890

    I always use D thread doubled up for the stringing line and size A doubled up for the tacking thread. Using a larger thread for the stringing thread was some tip instead online like 10 yrs ago. It's seems to work good to somewhat stabilize the beads. I wouldn't recommend it for using the 1 needle technique, unless your using larger beads like size 10, 11 or 12.

    Hi, I am learning much from your videos. Thank you for creating them. I have a question: how can I attach my loomworked beading to the French style barrette with the spring clasp. I'm afraid to simply glue the leather backed beadwork since the barrettes seem to be played. I'm afraid the playing will peek & the beadwork will come loose. Any ideas?

    @@monac.8890 Thanks. Actually, in the meantime, I was able to attach the beadwork to the leather because I discovered the barrette comes apart. 🙂 I was also able to use your very helpful videos when figuring out how to edge the barrette. I love your videos! And the regalia you design and create is absolutely breathtaking! ♥️

    But also that is an estimate and not a set price. There are variables for pricing beadwork, including size of piece and type of beads.
