How to get perfectly flat symmetrical beadwork with exposed leather or fabric.

    Step 1. Create design onto transparent tracing paper. 0:0 Step 2. Flip design over onto front to create sticky stencil 7:42 Step 3. Use Wonder Under from Pellon - cut out larger shapes of the Pellon to be ironed onto THE BACK of the tracing paper 7:55 Step 4. Once ironed, peal off Pellon shapes. Pellon will make tracing paper sticky. Iron your completed stencil onto hide 9:46 *at moment 8:14 you can see the 3 layers; Tracing paper, Pellon and the paper shapes shes using to help create a crisp outline for the Pellon cut outs. Those Pellon cut outs will become sticky, negative spaces to adhere to hide

    I was wondering how things got onto buckskin so neatly. I have just drawn the design onto the hide and beaded, but this looks much easier

    Thank you so much. Beautiful. What kind of leather do you use that can let through a beading needle? I tried embroidery on some thin goat leather and it was super hard to do.

    She's using Brain tan buckskin, if it is done right it is smooth as butter. I had some goat hide and it was soft and smooth but could not get a needle thru it either.

    I'm not sure if you would prefer me to say what you are using but I believe I know what you're using the Tearaway that's a good idea for beading on hide for beadwork

    Lisa Jarvis might be too late but I believe it’s Pellon wonder under. I saw it in another of the videos. Makes the tracing paper fuse to the buckskin so she has an outline to follow.
