Eddie used to hang at a Long Island NY club called SPIT (he actually wore a SPIT T-shirt on SNL) One day I go to the club and my VERY hot GF was waiting for me... And when I find her this huge black dude seems to be trying to pick her up. So she moves off and comes and grabs my hand and the dude leaves, 10 minutes later I turned and Eddie is there and says to me " I am sorry man, that dude is one of my guys.. It is my fault I told them to find some hot girls. AGAIN sorry !" I was floored. THEN the bodyguard comes with a bottle of Champagne and in this deep voice goes.. Golden child was my fav and SNL Mr. Robinson. He's Still a funny dude. I can picture him in Ghostbusters but not Roger rabbit movie that main actor was perfect for it.

Roger Rabbit with Eddie Murphy would have been even bigger success and maybe less dark and creepy because Bob was a great actor but he didn't have the comedic talent of Eddie.

I have a lot of respect for Mr. Murphy. Nobody can hold a candle to this man!
Eddie's Brando impression is hilariously accurate, it's exactly how he would have delivered that scene.

The greatest. Ive watching and listening to this guy since i was 12. I am now 52 and when I was 12 my mother bought me the Eddie Murphy Comedian cassett tape from Sears and I was hook. The GOAT
I toured Paisley Park back in 2018. Once covid is over and you have a chance, go to Minnesota and see his mansion. The tour is amazing!

slovell920 Eddie Murphy’s net worth $130 million. Richard Pryor died in 2005, it’s not determined how much he would have made, if he was still living
@aaronsmith4806
Жыл бұрын
Meh that’s up for debate. As a comedic actor but then Pryor isn’t considered the best comedic actor. Chappelle is a much better stand up. Murphy doesn’t have an iconic stand up time. At least not that I’ve seen. He’s much more comparable to robin Williams I think.
@aaronsmith4806
Жыл бұрын
Yeah he’s very wealthy. Pryor is very wealthy as well. He spent money poorly as many did but he has iconic specials and some movies and paved the way for many others. As before him you had to be like Bill Cosby to have mainstream success. Ironic looking back that he was the mold you had to emulate
