Didn't even find out at this it happened on my 48th birthday, so no wonder I heard them play him on the radio while I was driving that day. Even though he's right up there with the rest of the great classic rock, radio stations didn't play him as much as I used to, and I didn't even hear them mention this until just today from an ex-girlfriend in another state, and also just heard about Ric Ocasek. Wow! This sucks! RIP Eddie and Ric

Man, I was just sitting back after a big family tragedy but u guys brought me back to life. What can we really say abt Eddie Money...so talented but never full of himself. I saw Money preform during 1987 spring break on South Padre Island in front of thousands of people and then in a small nightclub in the earlly 90's. He was a great showman and gave it his all in both venues.

This brings me back to my high school years, and certainly great times. A time I will never forget. This excellent Eddie Money song never gets old since then, when it first came out. When people have a choice in music, this would hit the top of that list!! This is simply what you call REAL music. It is my favorite EM song. Definitely a timeless masterpiece from a true rock legend himself that we admired, and so dearly miss!!!!

I was fortunate to see him in concert a few months before he died. He was a great singer and down to earth human being! RIP 🙏

Met him at Bob Stroudsburg radio show .He invited me into the studio ; shook my hand , signed an autograph that I have framed . He really loved his fans ; and we loved him ! R.I.P.

I'll always respect Eddie Money for showing some Latino culture in this video way back in 1982. I'm sure this was the first or one of the first videos on MTV to ever feature low-riders, and the producers were smart enough to have Apollonia as the actress in the video. I will always love this song, the video, and Eddie Money. His music lives on. R.I.P.

@@batvette lost my Mother in 1999. She was 67 years and 3 days young. It was so quick...damn cancer! I am 65 now and the closer I get to her age, the more I realize how much life she had left. Your mother lived to be 92, odds are in your favor that you will also. Even though it's been nearly 20 years since I lost my Mother, it still hurts as bad today as it did that day. Time does not heal all wounds. Just live each day to the fullest, enjoy your family, do the things you love to do. I truly believe that I will see my sweet Mother again. We always had more than a mother-daughter relationship. She was my best friend also. ❤

OH THAT IS APPOLONIA KOTERO. A PRINCE GIRL! THE PURPLE ONE.

There used to be an event in Griffith Park called the Carmine Appice drum-off. Eddie was there cruising a huge convertible Cadillac with a lot of pretty girls, just hanging out on a beautiful L.A. day. What a great time we had when he stopped to say hi and shake hands with everybody, even had a beer and a toke. That's the kind of guy he was !

I met him in a bar in the 90s. He was just there to chill and drink. No one bothered him much and he hung out all night it was incredible!!

100%. I have a job that doesn't allow phone use during your shift and having worked like 68 hours each the past two weeks...I realized how badly I hate social media and how I was actually happier in life when it didn't exist. (I was born in 1986)

I agree with Jeff. Social media ruins a lot of things it can be good at times but when your husband works in the gulf and something happens people tell me bc they heard it on social media. It makes you sick not knowing for sure

Eddie Money is an absolute LEGEND! One of my all time favorites! Met him in person back in the late 90’s when he played a club called “Northern Lights” in upstate NY. Just a really down to Earth humble guy, with an incredible music catalog! R.I.P Money man!

Absolutely. Eddie has his place with all the other great songs of the 80s. We lived on this in 83.

Many called Eddie "pop rock". Here in Cleveland he was considered a rocker. He even played in the World Series of Rock here. We loved him, and will always miss him! RIP !

I'd say he was arena rock, kinda on the fence between hard rock and pop rock, nothing wrong with that. (Same with bands like Loverboy, Survivor and Night Ranger)
