I think he's the best stand-up I've seen. Class of his own really. And it's good-humoured humour. There's no malice. So many modern comics have to be caustic, hurtful.

+Martin Mitchell Plurality being what it is, I would like to hope there's room for all types of humour amongst the pantheon :) It's nice to have variety, even some of that variety is esoteric in nature. Not criticising here, just saying. And I think it's a fair saying, at that :)

That's maybe the thing I admire most about his comedy. He can stand among the best of them, and he's never had to resort to any low-brow or controversial jokes, it's all just good wholesome fun.

Yes, I remember that red number & blue coat from Greek heroes. Those heels! :D I know women who would kill for that outfit on `dentists' LoL What I truly admire about Eddie is that he's comfortable in public like that. Remember him on that last minute Christmas shopping trip? He went on the tube & got the whole coach participating with his present wrapping. Those earrings! LoL Keep posting anything you think I might've missed - Eddie's one of my last heroes (in or out of drag) :-)

Anyone who can be funny for a whole show describing ripening fruit is alright in my book.

Damn you, KZread for suggesting this clip so many years after it posted. "Stalinist oranges" are now a thing, and there should be at least two rock bands with that name.

I discovered how to eat the Das Boot orange... Slice into quarters and turn the peel outwards and pull out the flesh with your fingers from the center of the piece. That's my very best life tip.

I've been switching between Eddie Izzard stand up and episodes of Hannibal all day. Absolutely fried my brain when he unexpectedly showed up in episode six?!? Like!? 0.o The hell?

Eddie's right, oranges are a pain to eat.

I've learned to enjoy pears, plums, and peaches when they're still crunchy.
