When Simon is up against someone who is just as a smart person like he is that is capable of answering back in a thorough detailed way Simon can't accept that. It's like he loves being the only smart one in the room but once someone else smart enters his ego takes a battering. His responses to Eddie proves that. I'm not a fan of Eddie Hearn but credit where credits due he came onto Talksport & implied himself well & handled the whole argument with Simon in a more than fair manner. Think Simon knew he was up against a formidable opponent this time round hence his tone softening at the end & I have to say Eddie pipped Simon in this whole episode

Simon also showed just how jealous he is of Eddie Hearn that he even had to look up the numbers Eddie has been making, whilst Simon sits on the radio trying to belittle sausages like Danny Murphy and Martin Keown. Has absolutely no knowledge about the boxing world and think his “moral” and honest opinion is factual when actually he hasn’t got a clue what he’s talking about.

If Jordan knew boxing, then he would respect the jab as the most powerful punch in boxing. It's how you wear opponents down. An uppercut or hook may finish off an opponent but the jab will put a boxer in that position.

He does, he's on about how Joshua went from an aggressive power puncher, to a gunshy, ring runner, hiding behind his jab, which worked against Ruiz in the rematch due to the added 60lb of snickers he put on, and a 40 year old past his prime Pulev, but Joshua's chin is suspect so he's scared of getting hit now and fights "safe"

Pulev was 39 and about 3 months off 40, not exactly the prime of his life, but sure if you really need to split hairs!! Ruiz obviously didn't put on 60lbs of snickers. That was sarcasm on my part, but he did put on over 20lbs, hadn't really trained, and came in looking like a total slob & Joshua still ran around the ring all night from him hiding behind his jab, at points Ruiz was calling on him to stand and fight and to stop running!! Fair play to fast car Eddie... he turned up and defended his corner without ever losing his cool - however I still don't feel as though we ever got a definitive answer about how Eddie LET the situation with the BBBoC reach the point where the fight was cancelled at the last minute... to me the fact that it got pulled that late strongly suggests that he was happy not to push for a resolution because he knew it would leave him out of pocket and trying to pass the buck to the board excuses him from any responsibility for expediting a decision - something I'm sure he could have done if the will had been there.

Dillian Whyte has been a shell of himself and most seemed to agree Fury-vs-Whyte was the 'retirement payday' bout and even Fury's online fanatics seemed to easily agree Fury and Whyte both looked awful and it didn't really count as a real fight. Whyte looked bad vs Franklin in the sense that's someone past due-date and risking CTE brain damage. His veteran experience let him grab a points win over the inexperienced 85th ranked Franklin. Franklin is about as 'tailor-made' for AJ's style as they could have hoped to find for a big highlight reel KO. AJ does not get some kind of title shot from this. AJ doesn't get some Top Contender rankings from finding a 35th ranked fighter coming off a loss in his only big fight and who's style is exactly perfect for AJs advantages. AJ will have bought himself a big KO highlight reel and confirms he's back and not in a mental ward but he won't deserve some sort of talks about fighting for the title.

Lol. That's not what I saw. If this were a boxing match, Hearn would be the winner by unanimous decision.

Don’t agree with Hearn there’s literally no risk in this fight. AJ lost twice to the best heavyweight and arguably p4p. AJ is a world class heavyweight 3rd best in the World and beats everyone but Usyk and Fury where as Franklin would struggle to win a British title fight if he was British.

Eddie Hearnes cherry picking for AJ has always gone wrong. U can tell when the tin cans he lined up for AJ are being paid to go down. Franklin is one of them. He didn’t make the Fury or Wilder v AJ. He’s basically ripped AJ as his cash cow.

People are so easily won over by Eddie's used car salesman tactics lol. When he says he'll fight "Fury, Wilder or Whyte" that means he'll fight Whyte. And when he says "he'll have 3 fights this year" that means you'll be lucky if he fights twice and anything remotely worth watching will possibly be made for summer 2024. Heard it all before. He's always "going to" fight Wilder and Fury but he never does. Funny that
