I appreciated Eddie talking about how he hurt his hip in another video. He said his hip and bicep 💪 injuries were avoidable, and has just become somewhat lax in prevention. The hip he was squatting and missed the lift and should have backed out and instead got back under and was off center when he went up, the bicep tear was horseplay and being dehydrated. Brian Shaw, thinks first before he does anything and, Eddie seems to be more careful now that he has injured himself

i remember as a kid growing into a teen and watching strongman on abc wide world of sports in new york. seeing kazmier and magnus, and countless others on screen looking like marvels to me larger then life. i got retracted to strongman due to myself being a big and tall kid. i started lifting in high school. worked in a supermarket for produce department so that there was extra wieght being tossed around. to me that was my strongman gym. 50, 75, to 150 sacks of veggies being tossed around i loved it lol. when i was in wrestling school training and still in produce used to use lifts like a yolk under a pallet and lift it like the car lift lol. once i got injured i had to stop. seeing now the resurgence of strongman as i am in my early 40's has rekindled the interest once again. i have a lot of injuries but, can start off lite. its guys like eddie hall, shaw, terry holland, thor and others that i see proving themselves countless times. they are the new marvels to inspire others

Nah. I'm very happy for him. His marriage and family was at its near end bc of his obsession to win WSM and keep a promise he made his mother on her death bed. He said his wife was more like his keeper than partner during those years, and he never saw his kids. They were strangers. Could he win more WSM titles and break more records? Probably, but he did what he set out to do and he looks genuinely happy with life now. After winning WSM it seems he made another promise to his family.
