In this video, I do a quick unboxing of my recent purchase of the echo C’s-400 18” chainsaw. I ended up returning my ryobi purchase and went with an upgrade. The ryobi was ok but it kept stalling and it just wasn’t powerful enough for what I needed it for. At 299.00 this 40 cc 18” chainsaw was a pretty good deal. Stay tuned for the update after using it. I bought that saw after a storm come though and took out a huge oak tree and a few smaller I never heard of the echo but the storm had the stores out of most saws but I got this very saw I love it I been cutting wood with it for a couple years now with no problems it starts every time just had to by a bar from not flipping my first one but that’s it great saw

Is this better than husqvarna 440? I’m debating between this echo and husky 440. Husky s have a lot of plastic and are less user friendly I hear and the echo s have a lot more metal hardware plus my dad has an echo timber wolf n it’s tuff n good saw.

High Ridge Handyman Yea I went ahead and just bought the echo 400, since my dad has been using his echo timber wolf for years with good success and I was very familiar with it so grabbed it. I only have 4 acres so I didn’t feel need for 400-500$ 20 inch saw!! But he’s on closer to a hundred and uses the heck out of his on big oak trees ! Both the echo 400 and husky 440 have plastic frames but I thought echo was still heftier and familiarity so I just got it. It started right up though just like my dads timber wolf! Thanks for video n advice . Cheers

@@burtonkephart6239 You got the better of the two saws IMO. The 440 bearings ride in plastic raceways and will melt with hard use, the 400 utilizes a metal cap to enclose the bearings. The 400 is definitely the better built saw of the two.
What's the difference between this saw and the cs 400 18vp? I just bought cs400 18vp

Russ Demello The saws are both the same. The only difference is the VP stands for value pack it comes with a hard storage case,a hat and some oil. That’s the only difference. Good luck with your purchase 👍🏻👍🏻
