Just put the aftermarket carb on mine won’t start at all but used the fuel lines already there not sure if it’s a crappy part or what

I guess I should clarify- if it fires up, then suspect a fuel delivery issue, if it doesn’t, could be compression, spark, timing, fuel quality, air restriction. Let us know what you find out

i have the same saw today was working for 1 hour then stop working suddenly i try again it works only wen i push throller now is not working at all i feel the pulling engine wire its a little hard is any solution my saw almost new non use much very clean

It actually sounds like the oil /gas mix wasn't right. Thats usually the symptoms. You can pull the muffler and verify the piston condition
If you look between the fuel tank and engine there is a breather. I thought the top line was an impulse line to

hard to pull... how do you adjust valves on cs400. or can it be done?

No this is a 2 stroke. There aren't any valves. Hard to pull- I would pull the spark plug and see if it's any easier. If not, pull the muffler and look at the rings for scoring
I have the same saw. I had a crack im my fuel tank vent line (pipe vent) i bought the same tune up kit you got on amazon. Originally all i changed was the fuel lines and primer bulb. Put back together and it ran horrible. Now it wont even start after several attempts. Was running perfect before i repaired the fuel lines. It has good spark, no pinched lines. No start. So i changed the carb too. Still no start. Not sure what went wrong. Do you have to adjust the idle and high/ low adjustment on these new carbs. Now im gonna have to take to the shop, which i cant afford to pay alot for repairs. Thanks for video. Any advice would be appreciated!

Does the primer bulb pull fuel? And can you use an eye dropper to add fuel directly into cylinder? If so, see if it momentarily fires. This will help determine if it's fuel related

Sorry I don't have one right now. But the switch wire is just a circuit to ground which stops spark. You can use an ohm meter to see where the break is. Good luck
Can you tell me what the compression should be on a CS-450? I got 60psi. I think the owner didn't mix any oil with the gas.

I like to see around 120 or higher. Make sure choke and throttle are open when checking. You can pull the muffler off and check piston for scoring

If you came here because your Echo chainsaw was working and now won't start, I recommend trying the technique shown in this video (no affiliation). kzread.info/dash/bejne/Zm2Nmq6QosiqqaQ.html I own two Echos and sometimes have to do this after a saw has been sitting for a while. Not sure if it floods itself in storage or what. I find you also want to be pretty sparing on using the primer bulb.
