Echo CS-3510 Review & In Action

Фильм және анимация

When Echo introduced the CS-3510 chainsaw they claimed that it had the best power to weight ratio of any saw in it's class. We were eager to try one to see if their claims were true, but before we got to actually fire one up we noticed that the CS-3510 has some really good features that make the saw easy and convenient to use in addition to it's light weight. In this video we show you some of the features that the Echo CS-3510 has that make it so appealing and then we take it out and put it to work to give you an idea of what it's capable of.

    The Echo works for many folks (me included) because of its power and light weight.That is an advantage when you are sawing away while your back is at a crazy angle. The light weight allows more ache free sawing.

    Thank you for the review. Bought one yesterday before watching your video. Returned a 16" DeWalt cordless that after about 20 cuts would simply not run due to an overheating sensor. Cool down time was about 6 hours and the weather outside was 65 degrees. Looking forward to finishing up the job of cutting 3-5 limbs into 16" firewood size pieces.

    Just picked one up today. I’m a home owner, have a few dead trees that I am worried would come down at the house during a storm. Already got one down, the saw did fantastic. I originally inquired about the 4510 but supply chain issues being what they are….it wasn’t available. No regrets though. This will serve me well.

    We've ran the CS4510 and the CS3510. We thought the CS4510 was a good all-around saw at a good price. But when we ran the CS3510 we were very impressed with its performance. The CS3510's combination of the performance, price, and lightweight really make it hard to pass up.

    It would be nice to see a comparison with the stock anti kickback green chain vs a Oregon 91VXL yellow chain on the CS 3510. My CS 352 sure cut much better with the 91VXL chain vs OEM chain.

    Dear Eshlemania TV, nice video. Thank you for making and posting it. ¿Is it possible to change the bar/chain to a 14" size (Echo made), please? You mentioned that it's possible, but Echo seems to indicate (by a lack of availability & [my] dealer inquiry). If you have more information, please do share, if possible. Thank you. • @EshlemaniaTV

    Great question! Depends on how big of stuff you are cutting and how consistently you are using the saw for larger logs. This CS-3510 is impressive! It has good power for it's size and is so maneuverable and light weight. But I think for more regular use in larger logs the Husqvarna 440 is the better choice. The 440 has a bit more power and torque and because of that you have the option to move up to an 18 inch bar on it if needed and it will still perform well.

    How would you compare it to the 2511p and the 361p? I'm looking for something light but still usable. 90% of the time I'm running a Stihl 044 with 28" bar and my current "small saw" is my Stihl 026 pro with 16" .325 but even that seems kinda overkill for clearing honeysuckle, skinny Balsams, cedars, and tamaracks, basically brushing and slashing weed trees where you're in awkward positions flinging a saw around I'm all sorts of ways OSHA might not approve of. I used a Stihl 201c at work and loved it I just can't justify spending $600 on a saw with such a limited purpose when echo is making these saws this good for way less.

    Though hp can be approximately inferred from the engine cc, it seems disingenuous of Echo not to specify peak hp of their chainsaws, since they obviously know. As long as any exposed bar length is over 1/2 the diameter of the log, any chainsaw will buck it. It's just how long are you willing to wait while it cuts it? :)

  • @YankeeWoodcraft
    @YankeeWoodcraft3 жыл бұрын

    Priced too high for what it is. For another $60, you can catch an ECHO CS-590 Timber Wolf when they go on sale. It's more a $199 saw. For that? It's definitely worth it. Looks like it'll be overkill for the average homeowner which is fine. I'm a big believer in having more tool than you need for the job.
