ECG Holidays 2017 with Brian Setzer (and a Happy New Year!!!)
Комедия
December 26th, 2017 - Toward the end of a great holiday season, we took a look at an incredible and well-loved single-owner 1956 Stratocaster, followed up by a little surprise visit from the legendary Brian Setzer before his performance at The Paramount Theater that evening!
It was great to hang out, goof off, and hear some great instruments in your hands - we love you Brian!
Happy New Year everyone!!!

When I was 13 years old I went to a guitar convention that Brian played at. I was shopping for my first amplifier and fell in love with a 1964 Fender Bandmaster. It was one of the first ones I looked at so I decided to look around a bit more before buying it. After checking all the amps out, I decided I wanted it. I made my way back and Brian was jamming on it! I told him i was going to buy it and he said, "that's funny, I already did"! But immediately offered to sell it to me for the same price he had just bought it for. So I can technically say my Bandmaster was owned by Brian Setzer, if only for 5 minutes. Great guy.

Brian is well grounded. The most underrated guitarist I know. He has never let the fame go to his head and right here is proof.
favorite guitarist of all time 😎
Brian Setzer is the kind of player that you can place him in any band in any decade and he will fit right in; 50's rockabilly band? gotcha covered, 30's jazz ensemble.. no trouble at all, 40's big band yes... anybody say western swing band? YES, rock n roll band in 70's of course, adult contemporary pop... with ease... 90's garage band grunge... are you kidding me? 60's lounge act? Yes nobody would ever leave the lounge, skyrocketing alcohol sales! And more!
Brian Setzer is a class act. One of the GOT
What a brilliant musician Brian Setzer is. I wish I could play a hundredth as good as Brian. 👍👍👍👍👍
Could watch the man play all day long
Ah, my favorite guitarist. He’s the man! Rock on Brian!
Man, he's such a great player!!!
Brian, a Straight up KILLER on the Guitar, hailing from LONG ISLAND N.Y. Oh HELL YEAH Baby!!! Who Loves ya Brian......... Loved you with the Stray Cats and All the way Through till Now! Some of that Diologue was alittle rough to listen to, young Boone Couldn't make eye contact with Brian from time to time and you could see it in Brian's eyes. Anyways it wss Great to see Brian put those instruments through their paces.....AWESOME!! 🎸💚
I started to play guitar because of brian!

Wow Brain Setzer hanging out and playing guitars. That's so cool. 👍
I came into the shop about half an hour after he left that day I was so disipointed when they told me I'd missed him, but I did go see him play live that night it was a great show
I remember Setzer playing the local bars in Massapequa when I was 18... He was even younger than me, I think
That was amazing I love hearing the stories, Setzer of course is always entertaining. And hearing the story of playing left handed. Well done!
Holy Cow!…..I’ve never seen such a demonstration of TONE! Minutes 4:33 to 4:41. A Simple raise of the bridge and Brian transforms that archtop with the DeArmond pickup from ‘dud to stud.’ I kid ….a great guitar. A Seriously wicked great player with tone in his back pocket to burn and that simple adj. reveals to the amp the horsepower just waiting to purr! Blew my mind. I always do a ‘song of the day’ for my wife and StrayCats struck 10’ tonight. Then I go digging deeper….really the best thing about the meeting of guitar shop, a genius player/singer, an axe and KZread!

Awesome Video Gang!! Brain is the greatest, can play anything! Stray Cats Strut... they had me at 10yrs old!! Cheers!!
Always loved this guy! Just made me a little "more" FAN, if that's even possible!
I remember him when he came out decades ago. He was stunning then. He made me want a white falcon. But I was in a rock band and Les Paul’s were the tool.
ALWAYS LOVED BRIAN AND HIS PLAYING GRATEFUL I LEARNED ALOT FROM HIM . SO THANKS ALWAYS
Brian is the guitar god and he's so cool. Amazing. Great video.
That was a refreshing video..awesome
The Man just has old school Class, baby .
This one is worth gold! Go Cat!

What a legend !
Emerald city geetars keep doing these videos I mean all of them!yall in a league of your own

Cool video. I like your shop it is very comfortable. I like the fact that you are a right-handed gentleman that can play left-handed guitar.
If he slaps that guitar one more time!!!
He is something else
Awesome bro I can play the same way that's awesome I grew up poor is how I learned
That D28 is insane. Looks brand new!
Too cool!
Hands down the best vintage Amps,Guitars shop on the left side of the states, and awesome service. And all around real folks..its always been a win win..keep on rocking .
Why does then sales guy keep whacking old rare guitars worth thousands of dollars with his ring?
Good to see that Brian can step out and play other guitars then the Gretsch

I've seen a LOT of great guitarists and great bands, and I'm getting to the age where not much astounds me much anymore..... but I would like to see Brian Setzer "Live On Stage" before I die, without that orchestra, just the Rockabilly combo.🎸

@@t4texastomjohnnycat978 You're welcome. The Brian Setzer Orchestra and their trio were, to me, tied with Reverend Horton Heat for the best live performances I've seen, the former once, the latter numerous times. Which is curious, since I've seen a wide range of musical styles live, that the top two have been Rockabilly.

@@TheRamsberg Reverend Horton Heat is another that I've only seen on TV(DVD). Yes, you are right. He's awesome too. Are you familiar with, I believe his name is Darryl Higham? Not sure I'm spelling his name correctly. Pretty doggone good Rockabilly guitarist. I don't know if he's quite in Setzer & Horton Heat's league. I've only seen 3 or 4 performances by him on the Jools Holland TV show.

"You're guitar will be cared for and appreciated." *continuously smacks guitar*
Seltzer is an incredible guitar 🎸player and a good singer, too. A one man band practically but I’d like to see him reform the Stray Cats and play rockabilly just one last time. Rockabilly is still popular and the tour would be successful. Great guy! And thanks for the video.
i knew a bloke who plays right handed guitars upside down, left handed. When i asked him why, he said." Because i'm stupid".When he was a kid he would pick up his older brothers right handed guitar when he went out, as he was left handed, he flipped it over to play it. 4o years later he has never learnt to play it conventionally.
Cool guitar with a great story! And awesome playing Jordan, for once it's not some crazy fast blues solo all over the place demoing a guitar! Thanks
The story of the Stratocaster was too cool, hope the new owner appreciates the guitar for what it is. Watching Brian noodle around on the D'angelico was proof that notes can be played quickly and musically all at once; not everyone can pull it off so effortlessly.

Brian is the master with anything with f holes prove me wrong.

good lord that Strat sounds good. I got on a Tele kick and just played my Strat for the first time in months. I forgot how good it sounded...not as good as that one though...
I had an aunt who passed away. She played gospel music all her life. She had an old Baldwin guitar, it was red and it had the f holes. I don’t know who inherited it but I know it wasn’t me.
4:30 - "That's low, you guys gotta man up on me! There we go..." I'm not sure how high he *thinks* he raised the bridge if it stayed in tune. Great stuff, Brian!

Geez I was feeling trollish for pointing that out on a different video, but its getting to me, like I want to go back and count the crashes on the soundtrack. Not a deal here around Super Chicken Studios but those guitars are worth real money. Wrap that Wedding Band with tape or something, Trevor.
80k for an original Martin w t f are people all about no wonder rare vintage guitars are only for the super rich 💰😠🏴🥃
I don’t think I would sell my mothers guitar . But my mom never even touched a guitar.

Political party affiliation has nothing to do with appreciating or not appreciating this cool music, these iconic guitars, and the AMAZING Brian Setzer! I've seen him twice with the Brian Setzer Orchestra, and his skill level and chord knowledge are insanely high-level! (And, BTW: I'm a Democrat. So much for your stereotype... 😁)
The strat part (the worst part) of this video is irrelevant to Brian Setzer. Annoying way to get your ad across guys. By the Brian doesn’t really like strats, hence it’s an insult to him!
Next time as you intro a guitar stop slapping it,there is just no reason to treat an instrument that way.Slap on the table top or something else.
No Guitar should cost as much as a house.
