That little old French man in the ice cream shop is so sweet- my husband and I got ice cream from there a few months ago because we saw him just sitting in there on his own 😢 such a nice man . If you go to double bay , make sure you pay him a visit and buy an ice cream from there ❤

had a mate that travelled with on the backs of camels for a week or so sleeping in tents in the desert etc with the bedoin people, they used to finish the evenings off with hash sessions from the hookah and drift off under a full star ridden sky.. cant lie i got jealous as fuck when he showed me photos etc, would have been a mad experience

I don't know anything about this man's background or history, but for someone who looks like he could be a little rough shall we say, he is extremely polite and civilized. the way he spoke to the ice cream vendor was actually quite touching, most people don't exercise that kind of courtesy, especially now days. Just discovered this bloke looking at food vids.. he's funny, entertaining and gets excited by an adventure. Like the fact he's not phased by class and can be himself. The world needs people who can have a laugh and make others laugh too!!

Thats awesome Spanian... spent many, many years in Double Bay & the Cross. Was in Security for the Ritz Carlton Hotel there from beginning to it's end, & also used to work after hours/shifts from RCDB for other Sec' companies at some pubs in the area, one of which you covered (gotta' luv Pork Belly', heh-heh) The Royal Oak (many a punch on, on the street would occur back then whilst clearing the streets, the blue had a publicly unknown curfew for the area, lol) but it was different back then, lol. The arcade with the weird stuff on the roof used to lead to a great take away Chinese/Asian restaurant, I'd always drop in there when on night shifts for a snack back then, but the chefs at RCDB work would always do a great cook up for me on night shifts, plus give me cooking lessons (bonus cuz!)... Keep up the great work & food reviews. Really enjoyable. Liked the Fatima's one also, spent many late nights getting eats & relaxing on the pillows at Fatimas' after gigs, etc.

$28 for a really good pizza in double bay is pretty astounding when you think about it.

Most food in the east is pretty standard tbh, allot are franchises. It’s only cafe food that gets up there from what I’ve noticed.

The funny thing is, it’s not actually a good vlog… it’s a positivity vlog. We don’t keep watching for the food, we keep watching for the positive vibes.

I found myself leaning closer to the tv trying to smell the food every time you said “ this smells hectic” lol

I've worked 3 years in a dead end job above the ice cream store, the one thing that got me through the shit days is that man's gelato. if anyone in the area try his Pistachio Gelato (BEST you can get).

love the French Rivera ice cream shop. He has been operating that shop for years. My family have been going there since the 90s when he had his store in Darling harbour, we still continued to visit after he moved to double bay but I haven't been back in years. Honestly the best ice cream and sorbet shop ever
