This is basically how light is focussing inside of your eye…. completely distorted because of the irregular cornea.

First of all, you spelled it wrong. Astigmatism is the correct spelling. Astigmatism has to do will the shape of the cornea. An astigmatic cornea is more oval/egg shaped instead of being a spherical.

Astigmatism basically means that your cornea is more oval shaped instead of being spherical. An oval cornea is steeper in one direction than another
