Creme caramel is the first desert me made in cooking school many, many years ago. You get rid of small bubbles by quickly using blowtorch around the edges. I like making the crispy caramel on top by using sugar and blow torch, but I also love your soft caramel on the bottom. Either way, creamy desert is my favourite.

In Portugal we do it very similarly, but we mix all the ingredients in the same bowl, and then put it a cameralised metal pudin form that we then put in a larger pot with water (until 2/3 of the size of the pudin form) and boil it in medium to low heat for a while. All the rest of the process is exactly the same!! ❤

I absolutely love all your videos, you inspire me to cook for my family (my mom is especially a huge fan of the miso soup) I love this pudding recipe but would there be a way to add coffee flavor not as garnish ?

Thank you very much for always watching my video!! I am so happy to hear that you enjoy Japanese dishes with your family 😍 About the coffee flavor, how about putting 3 tbsp Instant coffee when you warm the milk. I'm not sure about the amount though... because I haven't tried coffee version of this pudding.

Chef Jean-Pierre has a version of this creme caramel. It's slightly different. He used a paper towel and/or a blowtorch to remove the bubbles on the top. I think cooking some raspberries in sugar to make a raspberry syrup to use instead of the plain sugar would be a delicious twist on this desert. kzread.info/dash/bejne/oqpsmsSoabO3hZc.html

I had no chance to know till this morning 🍮pudding is the dessert based on egg and milk. When pudding cooked it takes so much time app roximately an hour. As teacher taught~it is different depending on size of pots and how many puddings are in. 🍮🍍🍊🍓🥝 🍽 B*y T*he W*ay~ in caramel part came up mind putting fried sweet-potatoes my enjoyable snacking dessert to coat and then eat. 🍠★ Thanks to the link for pan, Got to knew size of regular guest pan and when purchasing Even?though there is not exactly same pan teacher always use I am able to find similar one. I don't know as now when to buy but the reason i want to get it the most is that size is very proper with all kinds of dishes. Plus washing and cleaning at once are easy to maintain. It is not going to make my wrist hurt. 💖

    Isn’t that called Flan?

  • @JapaneseCookingChannel

I think Flan is sweeter than Japanese pudding and is usually made stickier and firmer. Another difference is the use of condensed milk and evaporated milk.
