Easy Turkish Cream of Mushroom Soup Recipe

This mushroom soup recipe is a very popular Turkish dish. Super delicious and creamy with the fresh mushrooms in it. Can also be cooked with other types of mushrooms! In to a large pot over medium high heat, pour 2 tbs vegetable oil Add a tablespoon butter When it melts, add chopped onions 5 minutes later Add grated garlic 5 minutes later Add in the mushrooms you washed and chopped earlier, cook until tender Another 10 minutes later Add flour and cook, stirring constantly about 2 minutes Add some hot water and mix well to make sure there are no balls of flour left Add rest of the water (4 1/2 cups in total) Add salt and black pepper 20 minutes later Add heavy cream and bring to a simmer, serve hot
List of ingredients:
250 g (9 oz) mushrooms
1 big size onion
2 tbs flour
1 tbs butter
2 tbs vegetable oil (olive oil would be fine)
200 ml (1 cup) heavy cream
½ tsp of black pepper
2 tsp salt

    Yes it same thing because heavy cream does thicken it

    It's like just a good mushroom soup. But olive oil is missing. By the way what's so Turkish abt it? It's just like any other cream mushroom soup.

    Maybe removing olive oil, red wine, thyme, and couple more ingredients makes it Turkish style.
