Balancing the demands of raising two small children while managing chronic migraines has proven to be more challenging than I anticipated. Unfortunately, the toll on my health has led me to experience tremendous burnout, and after much reflection, I've had to make the difficult decision to pause my video production for the time being. I want to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible support you've shown me throughout this journey. Your kind words, encouragement, and enthusiasm for The Domestic Geek have been a constant source of inspiration for me. It truly warms my heart to know that my videos have brought joy and value to your lives. Please know that this decision was not made lightly, and I am navigating these challenges with the well-being of my family as my top priority. I am taking this time to focus on my health and to be fully present for my little ones during these important years. While I may be stepping back from creating content for now, I want you to know that I am not saying goodbye. I hope to return to making videos when the time is right, and I am able to give you the quality content you deserve. I am so sorry to see you go but I'm sure your great recipes will be put to good use until you return! Migraine was my worst enemy until I was in my late 30s and the medication always made me really sick to my stomach. Back then they made Jolt soda (a high caffeine soda) which really helped me but it is off the market now. I think a good homemade double shot caramel macchiato may help you if you have an espresso machine. Put a glob of thick caramel in a small cup, add 2 shots of espresso and stir it up, then add about 2 ounces of foamed milk. It should foam up, and then you drink it in about 2 gulps like a shot of liquor. I had classic migraine syndrome that caused me to black out and lose my balance without the headache for several years, but I also had the headache kind where I could hardly stand up and threw up violently. They eased off when I was about 48 which I think was attributed to a hormonal change. Migraine is debilitating for a lot of people and highly misunderstood. I truly hope you get some relief!

I like to sear the chicken (with a little bit of salt) first before adding it to the pot. Creates even more flavor.

I just throw them in the pot but my son says he sears all meats first. Said it locks in flavor.

Sear the meat in the same pot, not a separate pot. Sear first, remove chicken, add veggies and broth, return meat to pot. Adds amazing flavor.

You can substitute the sweet potatoes for the regular potatoes, they cook pretty fast as well. Great soup.

I needed a way to utilize my veggies that weren’t going to last much longer. This soup popped up as if from heaven lol! It was perfect. Thank you 😊

My 2 weeks search on Instagram and KZread for the perfect chicken soup ended here. Ingredients are exactly the same as what I had in mind (especially with the potatoes, most of the videos I've seen had rice, noodles or pasta). This is awesome. I'm definitely making dinner tonight.. Try using your left over roast chicken, it will cost a lot less and taste a lot better.

wow wow wow!!! the most amazing soup recipe I've ever made in my life. even tho I didn't put any thime, celery, and peace it is still tasted terrific and creamy,,, i made 2 of your salmon recipe too and they are amazing. i tried other channels recipes and seriously it didn't taste good. i will never switch from now on!!

Now I know what I am going to do with my scrappy turkey bits from when I deboned my Thanksgiving turkey. Usually I think of some kind of turkey casserole; this soup recipe sounds SO much better. I freeze leftover soups in 16 oz styrofoam cups, placing them inside a gallon-sized zip lock bag.

I love this recipe was so excited to see how mine turned out.. but the lesson I learned is that don’t use steel pot for this. I used a steel pot and it burned my soup.. but overall I love this I’ll have to buy a pot like hers to cook..!
