EASY Gouache Daffodil Landscape Tutorial

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In today's video, I have a Paint with Me Gouache Tutorial. It's a beautiful landscape of a field of daffodils. This will be a step-by-step tutorial style and I'm using Holbein Gouache which is an opaque watercolour. You can download the general outline of the picture for free here.

Very beautiful painting. Makes me wish I was there, but I'd probably be allergic to the flowers, lol!

Thank you so much, Lucy. Just wondering, did you receive your package from me? I sent you a couple of messages on Etsy but not sure if you've seen them. I posted it out on Tuesday and I think there have been some delays in the post.

So happy to find this video! It's such a happy painting. Several times I thought "oh no! Too dark or too much" and then you worked your magic on it and it all jumped into place with perspective and colour working beautifully together. I hope you are doing well. Your hands look so slender now. Well done. Confession, I have some Caran d'Arch pan gouache paint and I've never dared to try them out! I'm scared of them. You made it look so easy. Millie cat say's "Hi".

Hi Sue, thanks so much for watching. Yep, almost 7 stone down now. It's been a hard slog but I'm pleased with my progress. I've hardly touched my Caran D'ache set too. Need to use them more. Hope you're doing well and hope Millie's keeping off those taps 😂

@@TheArtSpirits 7 stone! What a brilliant achievement. Well done. I bet you can really enjoy walking around out in the open now. Time for another cliff top video walk and outdoor painting session? I have finally set too and am sorting out my clothing. Due to fluctuating weight over the years I have clothes in so many different sizes it's ridiculous. I got ruthless last weekend. If it doesn't fit now, it's not staying apart from one dress that I loved and hardly wore. It will probably go eventually, but not right now. I'm fitting some lights into my wardrobe and now I can actually see what clothes I have. And what I have fits. For ages I've had the ones that fit hanging on the outside of the wardrobe because there was no room inside! Talk about bonkers. Not anymore. Millie is a right pain with taps. We wrap a small chain around the levers at night to stop her flushing all the hot water down the kitchen sink. She's fascinated by water. I think she'd like a swim! She's an absolute little darling though. Clever, mischievious and adorable. Hates being left. We went to the village hall last night for a quiz that Dave was running. We came back down the lane at midnight and she was in the landing window staring hard down at us to make sure we were finally coming home. By the time we got in the front door she was crying and giving us a piece of her thoughts on the matter in the kitchen. She's the most like a toddler I've ever had in my cats.

I bet you feel good clearing out those clothes. I always feel great after a good sort out, although it doesn't happen very often. I'm just laughing at Millie waiting for you to get back. It reminds me that Nick used to do the same. We'd come in from shopping and within seconds, I'd hear the cat flap on the back door and he's come running towards us shouting on top note. Then he'd snoop in the shopping bags. So he will have been outside in the back garden, or possibly in the next door neighbours house waiting for the car to come back. So funny. You know what, you've just given me the nudge to do some more studio vlog videos(with walks, paintmaking, painting and general behind the scenes stuff). I really wanted to streamline the channel to painting tutorials only. Even though they don't get a lot of views, I'm thinking I will eventually grow a larger audience if I persist with a narrow niche. But I also want to do some studio vlogs so I might do both.

@@TheArtSpirits I don't think you need to restrict your video type. Variety will draw in a wider audience surely? Your vlogs were so relaxing. Bless him, Nick was quite the character. They are all gorgeous and so different. As different as people are. Clearing out stuff is so daunting at the start but I do get a right buzz from it afterwards. Keep opening the cupboard or wardrobe I've done for another look.
