Easy Fix For Broken Mouse on Amiga 2000 With Bridgeboard!

Ғылым және технология

I almost didn't bother finishing this one, but ultimately figured someone out there may appreciate it. The mouse on this Amiga 2000 stopped working. The problem was not the mouse itself, but a simple fix in the computer for anyone with the most basic soldering skills. This seems to be a very common needed repair.
Watching back I see one blooper! When I plug the mouse in for testing with jumper, I show me plugging into the wrong port. Hahaha! I'll leave it as is.

I have a TON to share, but only if people are interested. I am an end user, a power user at that on the Commodore 8bit and 16bit lines. I am a competent end user on many other platforms.
Thank you for your time.

I appreciate the feedback as always ninja. Unfortunately I'm considering refocusing this channel on just Commodore 8bit. This video is tracking to be my worst performer of all time, which really says something 😅It seems most my subs aren't interested in anything outside of C= 8bit and probably the algorithm reducing my reach overall when I put out terrible performing vids. Shame because I would've like to ramp up other platforms a bit in the near future. Instead I'll probably laser focus more on C= 8bit.

@@redrumloaHoping you will put a follow up to this Amiga content, too. Maybe, just review something. A bit less cut, just a bit less, and also a bit more depth into functionality you made possible with your setup. Just opinion of what I would like to do, take this as my 2cents! Cheers, M

@@mark12358 Thank you for the feedback! As for the jump cuts, I really hate them. Part of the reason I use them is it seems modern KZread viewers are extremely impatient and want you to "get to the point". I'm also not speaking as fluidly as usual due to a medical issue last year. That hopefully is improving over time. I have another video that should hopefully be out later this week where I will try another method to include more content in a much less cut manner that will hopefully be more palatable to the general audience. From what you've seen so far of my Amiga related stuff, which is mainly this beefy Amiga 2000, is there anything of interest you'd like me to laser focus more into? Even if it's for an audience of one, I'd be happy to try doing something that would be appreciated. Pros and cons of the Vampire? Thanks again.

@@redrumloa Thumb up for me. I got a Vampire V1200, not on my A2000, for now. Also, some Bridgeboard stuff, if and when you plan on it. Greetings

Just FYI, reach on YT is a weird thing. This ended up certainly not my worst performing video. 21 likes in a month is not bad. I have no delusions of being a big "influencer", I just like to think people exist who appreciate time put into these vids :-)
