Want to Elevate YOUR laser projects? Try adding some simple painting details for stunning eye catching results.
In this video, I will be showing you a few easy techniques to apply to your wood cut outs. These can then be used for jewelry charms, ornaments, add-ons to other projects (we have some exciting ones coming up), magnets or in this case, a bookmark charm.

Materials:
Links marked with * are affiliation links with products that I love and use all the time.
Painting on Wood materials list:
Precut wood shapes (use a laser, scroll saw or by precut pieces)
Sandpaper (220 grit) to create a smooth surface
Paint palette (I use a recycled plastic container top)
Small paint brushes
Acrylic paints (we used red, orange, maroon, black, white and light brown)
Cup clean water to thin paint (I use recycled yogurt containers)
Wax paper (to protect work surface)
Dotting tool (or a toothpick or fine tip brush)
1/8- 1/4" wide ribbon if making the bookmark
CA glue (aka super glue) if making the bookmark
Handmade One Page Accordion Book (AKA Brown Bag Book) from Vintage Page Designs materials list:
One Square sheet of paper (We did 20" x 20")
Scissors
Glue stick

    What type of paint is this ??

    I use acrylic paint. You can add water to create a translucent color letting the wood grains show through or straight paint for a richer color. Have fun.
